It only makes sense. This exotic should be shooting freeze rays instead of electric rays. When the game was released stasis wasnt a thing, but now that it is, the elemental damage should be stasis. Just look at the gun and the name of it.
Side note: Would it be possible to add stasis elemental damage to guns like hardlight and borealis??

FOR GOD'S SAKE NOT AGAIN... Cold heart is a ARC laser thats hot, so they use a liquid cooling system to keep the weapon and weapon mechanics at subzero temperatures. There is no stasis involved, never had never will. This post has to be bait, because nobody at this point would belive stasis should be on borialis. Please. Please read the lore tabs Just please restore some of our faith in humanity.

2 RepliesThey should call it “arc heart” so these lore guys can suck it. Cold heart is one of the most useless exotics in the game, changing it to stasis and allowing players to freeze targets after keeping the beam on them for a second would be a really cool exotic. Seriously guys, who cares if “tHe LoRe SaYs” no, stop. I could care any less what the lore is, 90% if players Don’t read the lore tabs and could care any less about it. Players just want weapons that work and are fun to use.

Therese been posts saying this since the gun launched it is NOT cold damage it is cooled to subzero temps because it produces a very hot electrical beam.

2 RepliesEdited by mdcaimbeul: 3/28/2021 2:51:06 PMThe Coldheart uses cold fusion to power a higher voltage beam. It uses extreme cooling and pressure to fuse atoms instead of normal fusion which is high temperature and pressure. The energy given off by either form of fusion is converted into electricity, converted from thermal energy. The energy given off by fusion is usually thermal (high temperature) and is not cold.

Just no. We have enough issues already with stasis in pvp.
-
1 ReplyIt's cooled by liquid nitrogen, hence the name , changing it to Stasis would ruin it's Identity and go against the lore Bungie said they are working on Stasis weapons for season 15
-
1 ReplyIt's an Arc weapon. Read the Lore, and go away.
-
17 RepliesWould people stop asking this? The only cold thing about Coldheart is what it's named after, it's proprietorially fueled/cooled fusion core. Stasis isn't necessarily cold either. Yes, it "freezes" things in place, but from a description on a lore card it's more like an emotional emptiness, and loneliness, than anything actually cold.
-
Nope look at the lore for the weapon.
-
You know why its called coldheart? Its not because its a freeze ray. Its because it has a very potent coolant sistem that, if it didnt had it, the gun would melt. The gun is arc powered. Not ice powered.
-
8 RepliesNo. It would turn into one guy has cold heart and tags everyone to they can't run. Then the rest of the team just swoops in unchallenged. It's also a no because of the lore reasons
-
1 Reply...is this...
...Bait?
No. And it makes literally no sense
-
It only makes sense.
No, it really doesn't.
Just look at the gun and the name of it.
Learn why it has that name and you'll gain understanding and knowledge.
-
No. Coldheart is called coldheart because it needs freezing coolant to counteract the extremely hot beam.
-
I’d rather them make a new and unique stasis trace rifle than to convert coldheart into stasis.
-
The gun uses arc energy as a coolant to sustain the laser. Wouldn’t work. Here’s an analogy. You got a better chance of Gjallorhorn coming back as a special weapon and doing Y1 damage than this idea happening.

1 ReplyEdited by Joker_Karasu: 3/27/2021 4:29:12 PMI’ve never understood why Coldheart was arc in the first place. The flavor text states “Leverages liquid fuel veins as self-coolant to keep onboard projection generator at biting sub-zero temperatures.” The perk cold fusion states “This weapon shoots a steady cold fusion-powered laser.” Even the lore tab states “The Golden Age. Our shining history. The height from which we fell. Once, everything we had was borrowed from the past. Since the Collapse we have struggled to reclaim even a scrap of what our ancestors once took for granted. Over the years, Omolon has perfected the art of salvaging Golden Age technologies and repurposing them into effective Guardian weaponry. But Coldheart is something new. We didn't find Coldheart. We didn't adapt it or recycle it. We created it. Its liquid ammo, which doubles as its coolant, is a game-changer on its own—never mind Coldheart's first-of-its-kind laser-powered trace weaponry. With Coldheart, we at Omolon are saying: we want more than to simply reclaim the Golden Age. We want to surpass it.” So why is it arc? It should have been the game’s first stasis weapon back at launch, that would have made it beyond unique. It should slow enemies and cause more damage to slow/frozen enemies.

2 RepliesIt is a cold fusion powered ARC laser. If I’ve said this once, I’ve said it 2 trillion times.
-
It's not an ice beam, so no. Move on.

Coldheart doesn’t shoot ice beams... Stasis isn’t even ice...
