Stop gate keeping light level behind bad rng
when ever pinnacle drop is the same item and you cant get any higher its an issue. At the very least make it so you can infuse gear from any other piece of gear and same for weapons. Bad rng blocks people from getting high enough to run gms and that is silly.

35 RepliesI'm sure the problem is gatekeeping and not the fact that you haven't done any of the following this season: 1. Deep Stone Crypt Raid 2. Prophecy Dungeon 3. Harbinger Mission 4. Exo Challenge 5. Master Empire Hunt 6. Trials Flawless Meaning your source of Pinnacles has been limited to the following: 1. 100k Nightfall (only in weeks where it was possible in Hero most likely) 2. Presage Mission (only did 2 weeks worth) 3. Strikes 4. Crucible 5. Gambit 6. Iron Banner 7. Clan Challenge You choose to do less than half of the Pinnacles each week, and the ones you are missing out on are +2 drops versus most of the ones you are doing which are only +1. You are a low light level because you aren't playing all endgame activities. Also, just our of curiosity, why would you want to do Grandmaster Nightfalls anyway? You seem to mostly play Hero Nightfalls, having only done Legend a total of 5 times in all of Destiny (couldn't get the exact number for Master). You seem to not care about endgame PVE content, so why would you care about being a high enough level for GM Nightfalls?

This is why i have stopped playing the game. In my clan i dumped so many hours into the game to boost my LL but RNG always screwed me over and it just annoyed me when other members of my clan put less than half the time into the game and always get great drops so they always got to doing endgame content easily while i struggle to get close to the LL requirements and i put more time into the game. As a once famous streamer said "bungie needs to respect the players time"

No idea why I can't just accumulate currency and then buy whatever I want from a vendor. This is the way it was done for years and years and years until some idiot in a suit decided they could squeeze 1 more dime out of players.

1 ReplyYou know what would really be nice, if they could use the vendors to help with the power climb. Have pinnacles be a currency, and let us buy equipment from vendors. This finding loot out in the wild has gotten old, boring, and frustrating. The vendors are almost totally pointless. This game is a looter shooter and the most neglected part of the game is the marketplace. Like seriously, wtf, we have a gunsmith that, in essence, can't make the weapons you want. We have other vendors that do absolutely nothing. There's so much wasted potential in this game. Most importantly, it's so lazy to use RNG to this degree. Like seriously, it's the crutch that they depend on to stretch the game. At this point, it really is just dishonest. This ingame lottery system is almost as bad as loot boxes. Every break I've taken from Destiny was not because there was nothing to do, the gunplay is great, it was because i got frustrated with RNG to the point i was kind "F it." The game did not value my time, so i stopped until new or more compelling content was released. It really kills the enjoyment. And for goodness sake, auto dismantle blues that aren't above the soft cap once you've reached it. My god they get annoying.

When I do a thumbs up, you don't know if it's a thumbs up or a middle finger it's so long you would think I'm giving you the finger. I'm on PlayStation that's why. RNG in this game is so stretchy now it's probably doing Yoga classes. Feels like the game has nothing to offer they just stretch it. RNG is a Yoga pants. It's tight and stretchy.

2 RepliesLol I've only been doing raid for my pinnacles and I'm 1310 on 2/3 characters. I do very few pinnacles, also the relic is not RNG and is very easy to level up. I'm at +23 right now.

If all powers and pinnacles are chased slow and properly, 1309 takes 2 weeks, even with shit rng.

Stop caring. Seriously. This game is infinitely more fun once you stop worrying about Light Level. Just play to play and you’ll get to max without even thinking.

7 RepliesCould they do protection? Probably? Will they? Probably not. This concept made more sense when there were only very few pinnacle drops in the game. There are sooo many sources now though. Strikes, crucible, gambit, nightfall 100k, exo challenge, 2 exotic quests, 4 drops from the raid (the most accessible and easy raid in destiny history), master empire hunt, prophecy dungeon. That's 12 chances a week. plus you get 4 more every 3 weeks with iron banner. Provided you haven't used them all the armor drops from the season pass can help bring your other gear slots up if they're really far behind as can the other powerful drops (especially the tier 2's and 3's from battlegrounds and clan rewards (if you're not in a clan you can still do this if you make a clan for yourself or just join a faceless mega clan there are plenty). I met my clan in lfg at the beginning of last season and lfg all the time for nightfall and empire hunts, etc. I've yet to have to leave because of people being toxic or whatever. I play primarily on Xbox otherwise I'd offer to help you, but those +2's you aren't doing really make a difference. Lfg for those activities and I promise you'll see your gear slots rise.

I only do the strikes, nightfalls, gambit , crucible and iron banner for pinnacles and I got to GM level. Maybe just bad luck buddy.

Meh I gave up on reaching max LL many seasons ago. I try to get as high LL as possible then just play, to have fun and link up with friends. This past 2 weeks all my pinnacles have been cloaks, but all other loot from blue gear to legendary that arent past 1305 have been dropping for the slots I need, it's like the RnG is toying with me. I get that NEED to hit max LL, but this has been an issue since D1. I doubt itll go away, and if it does they will sneak it back I there. I mean they literally few seasons ago did an adjustment where loot that drops for us will slightly favor us or go to the slot we need, but with each season it feels as if they keep removing it or making it worse.

Turned in Iron Banner -quests, 3 energy weapons, very cool. 3rd fireteam member just barely got high enough Power Level to get into Grandmasters from the very last Pinnacle, excluding raiding, so that was nice at least.

Got nothing helpful out of any of my IB bounties on my Titan. I only had 2 pieces at cap and 3 were primaries
