Shadowshot not suppressing supers on direct hit

Shadowshot is not suppressing supers on direct hit. The tethering takes too long to catch supers like stassis titan, stassis warlock, arcstrider, and novawarp (among a few others) even on direct hit. Please give shadowshot suppression upon direct hit. Additionally, Shadowshot casting is still too long and the arrows travel too slow. The casting speed of Shadowshot is the same as novabomb without the protection of said novabomb. The speed of the arrows is the same as hammer titans without the aoe on impact. Either speed up cast time OR speed up trajectory of Shadowshot arrows. edit: i should be more clear. suppression on direct hit (not OHK). Faster casting for pathfinder, not trapper.

  • Stop using it like other supers. You’re not meant to use it as a Direct hit super like Hammer of Sol or Golden Gun. It’s meant to be used like a trap, a snare, lockdown a zone. That’s it’s purpose. You’re not meant to use it as a panic super like Thundercrash, Nova Bomb. It requires a certain level of patience and timing that some of the other supers don’t need. I’m going to call this, user error.

      • I think the bloom time and how quick it attaches to someone and suppresses them. I can shoot a tether at a wall in anticipation of a, say, behemoth or dawn blade and the opposing guardian can go past it before the tether even activates and attaches. Top tree tether needs a buff.

        • It can fail to attach when it’s properly placed on a surface for defensive purposes, let alone direct hits. There is something inherently wrong when a Titan grenade has better suppression than a super.

          • I agree with direct hit. [i][b]However[/b][/i], shadow shot is not a reactionary super, it is anticipatory. Do not shoot it when you hear a super pop just around a corner, as it will likely not set in time. You can do this if you wish, but do [b]not[/b] complain when it fails. If you want to talk about activation time, tracking, any of those aspects of the super, I am fully on board. Please do realize, however, that the super is a trap, not meant to be used in the heat of the moment. [spoiler]The direct hit aspect is meant to be a high risk, high reward aspect. You hit them directly, no need for an activation time. You miss however...I guess that’s why it’s called high risk.[/spoiler]

                      Isnt it funny a titans grenade does it better than an actual super lol. It does need a buff at least on direct hit. Heck at 1 point I was on my titan and I was using bottom tree foH, and this dude used his tether as a trap and I was still able to kill him and his teammate before tether kicked in, and by then my team was shooting the tether so it faded away faster lol.

                      • Also/or they need to make it where the tether doesn't show up on radar. Most arguments against it suppressing on direct hit are, "it's supposed to be a trap, stop using it as a panic button." Cool, fine, but it doesn't work well as a trap either when it pings radar and has a giant reddish purple beacon that warns everyone of it's presence.

                        • Although I agree with you that it should definitely suppress on hit and activate faster, keep in mind that nightstalker has always been a class more focused on neutral game with a mediocre super, you can't buff it too much for balance sake, although with stasis basically doing the same thing as nightstalker but better, I think the subclass (Along with most other light subclasses) should get some tuning, but we already know Bungie has plans to adjust them to be just like stasis with aspects and fragments, so what you want in a sense is already on the way, we just have to play the waiting game

                          • Just more lies and false promises from bungie. 2 years ago they made twabs and talked about how they were going to buff tether, they gave it a few very minor buffs over the course of several months and told us much more improvements in the future. We never got any more, in fact they nerfed it again. Fück bungie, they are full of shit and they can’t program.
