Why are people salty about the 12 man raids?

People are really mad that we took advantage of this awesome glitch. I got raids done for the first time that I’ve never been able to do and that’s actually a problem for some people. They get mad that we haven’t earned the same things that others have. People, it’s a video game. No one has worked for anything while playing destiny no matter how long you’ve grinded for something. If you’re mad that someone else is having fun with an exploit that doesn’t affect anyone then you’re probably just really lame. Accomplishment went out the window when they gave us the kiosk. No one is paying attention to your anarchy or Eyes of tomorrow and no one thinks you’re special or cool because you grinded for it the right way.

  • The 12-person activities were the most fun I've had in Destiny1 or 2. It was an absolute blast! If people don't like it, it's because they are sticks in the mud. And I am a fairly hard core raider and PvEr. Bungie needs to take note and bring back 12-person activities.

  • I had one dude mute me because I told him to get off his high horse and sit down. He thinks it's "dishonorable" and glitches are bad and people who do them are bad players who ruin the game. Sad sack of shit needs to have that to have any value or pride in his life 😂

  • I’ll be curious to see what the engagement numbers are for some activities now that it is patched. It was a lot of fun and, most importantly, it brought more people together to enjoy the game as a group. Our clan ran several raids, nightfall’s, presage missions over and over because we could be a large group. There wasn’t a “wait your turn” or “are the sherpas around” to complete these tasks. Players with busier lives were able to complete activities that time just doesn’t allow for normally. In the end, more players were able to get more value from the game for the cost that they payed to play. The shame! Some people got weapons they would normally not been able to get or would have had to bend already limited time to try and get. Those that lament the reality that they don’t have something as special have lost sight that their gear or weapon still does the exact same thing as it did before some stranger they may never match up with got it as well. As a clan this was a boon for engagement and it felt good to help everyone get gear consistently even when play time was limited.

  • Eh. I never did it. But I can't imagine having more of a fun time taking the piss with half your clan in an activity. The way I see it, it's no different than having 3 anchors to get 9 people into EP or the Blind Well. All I can say is, leave it to the PvE only guys to get salty about people having fun in "Thier Endgame." Yet still believe that win trading in trials isn't cheating, and that they actually deserve the loot from the lighthouse without putting in any work. Simply deplorable.

  • Because for some stupid reason people think that if they did something one way everyone should have to do it that way. If they got a raid weapon doing 6 man normal that their weapon is now worth less because someone got it doing 12 man. Its basically a case of people not being able to mind their own business and stop caring about things that dont effect them at all.

    • Cos there should be freelance for every mode. So everyone can learn raids at an easier level with match making and then challenge mode for real raiders with adept weapons as the reward for doing it at a higher level. Would get more of the community involved in raids, seeing story content that they would normally completely miss out on.

    • I could care less. I don’t do raids cuz they don’t have matchmaking. I think it’s really dumb though how many ppl think or want this to be permanent. Lol. There are seriously tons of ppl asking for bungie not to fix this. LOL idiots. It would be awesome though if there was a glitch where matchmaking was activated for raids. Lol. I would actually do them if that happened.

      • It's the same sort of people that would grief the loot cave and complain about cheesing. It's as though they don't realize that video games are merely an interactive entertainment medium.

      • I think people forget that this is a game and you're supposed to have fun. There is no loot value or whatever. It's a game. All of this isn't real nor does it matter if something is 'devalued.' The 12 man raid was cool and I think it should've stayed tbh. I did DSC with the regular amount and I went through about 6 people bc nobody wanted to help or play but joined my fireteam anyway. I barely could enjoy DSC due to this. Definitely something should be done about it to make the game actually fun and not a chore.

      • It Devalues the Loot. It may not hurt other players, but it is cheating. There's a set way of Doing the Raids. 6 man, 3-4 Encounters, Mechanics. Yes one can say, "it's fun", yes, It can be. But that's the problem, you then begin to blur the lines of "Fun" and "Cheating". Cheating doesn't have to hurt a Player. In Kotor 1, there's a Mod called "Insta Kill pistol".....it's fun, makes it easy, but once you get to Malak...... there's a whole level Design on fighting him, yet with that mod....you cheat. You didn't play it as intended, you cheated. Cheating is Cheating no matter the context.

        • No idea either, we got to help new players or play with a big group of friends for 2 weeks. Big whoop. Ppl seem to think that the more other ppl have access to an endgame activity it somehow devalues them or something.

        • Sounds like you’re a little sad that you’ll have to learn and execute a role to get those end-game activities done now. Let’s see if you actually play them here on out.
