Add more ways to earn Midas catalyst
I know it's not a great catalyst and mida has gone down in popularity since Y1 but it's my only catalyst left to earn and complete.
Mida's catalyst was added to glory playlist back before trials as a pinnacle reward for hard core pvp plays. However now that trials is back, pvp players have much better pinnacle rewards to chase. Not too mention that it has a very low drop rate and I dont believe it's a guaranteed drop even if you reach legend. Let alone the fact that the comp playlist seems to be in decline with a relatively small match making pool. I mean the only reason to play is for the tier 1 powerful drop, guilding your title, or the mida catalyst.
I've been chasing this catalyst for some time now, and I feel like its definitely time to either buff the drop rate or add other ways to earn it. Maybe winning matches could have a small cumulative drop chance or it could be added to legendary lost sectors as well as legendary and master nightfalls.

Yes please. But the other one who I believe do not exist, is Graviton Lance catalyst. Been chasing it in strikes for like 1 year now with no luck. And yes, it drops in strikes too. Seems like ultra rare drop

5 RepliesBetter idea, change it's catalyst and Vigilance Wing to literally anything else. Why is Outlaw on a weapon that already has a reload speed matching most weapons with Drop Mag? Why is Full Auto even a thing?

I agree, its catalyst isn’t that useful and I only want it for the orb generation in PvE. There’s absolutely no way I’m going to play comp or be good enough to get it. Just let it drop everywhere. Can’t see any reason why not anymore.

And then it needs a damage buff so you CAN complete the catalyst.

It’s the only catalyst I don’t have. Survival stresses me out, there’s little to no chance I’ll ever get it. If there was another way to get it I’d try but as it stands it will be the gaping hole in my catalyst collection.

I agree it’s dumb how it’s obtained, but that’s the point. I fully believe Bungie knew it would be useless, and thusly made it locked behind a wall they know most players wouldn’t bother to push for. It exists purely as a trophy catalyst. However, since it doesn’t serve much purpose, keeping it there after so long doesn’t make much sense.

I kinda just want it to check it off of my catalyst list and that's it. I don't think Mida is in a geat place pve wise rn.

Its almost 100% chance you get it at playing a game past legend but it does have a drop rate when not at legend its just in the decimals

Yeah, you have to be at legend for it to drop. One of the first few games I played after hitting legend had the catalyst drop. I don’t think you have to stay in legend either, as long as you reach it you should eventually get it

This was my second season trying to get the catalyst to drop. Keep at it. I got it my third or fourth game after hitting 2100.

Pvp has much better pinnacles to chase? Where...hold up I will look in my vault, let's see A sniper that must have snapshot otherwise its not usable in the Playlist it drops in A sidearm I have mixed feelings about A catalyst that gives outlaw on a almost max reload scout rifle I dont know what game you are playing but in my experience pve has almost everything from pure farming shards, prisms and cores to palindrome which is quite good. I kinda agree that it shouldn't be behind the legend rank glory. Make it fabled at least since you cant derank anymore or at least a nightfall but that pvp has better pinnacles to chase? I mean sure if you mention the sunsetted weapons that clearly broke the game then yeah
