There's a meta. Simply put. Their should not be a meta. Every weapon should have a fighting chance in the crucible. Sadly, this is not the case. It has never been the case. But it's just now finally ticking me off.
You know, other first person shooters such as COD, they usually do have a couple OP weapons for a short time after release, but within only a couple weeks, and a couple months AT MOST, the weapons get nerfed, and the sandbox is back in balance, and everyone has fun.
RIOT Games is a great example of developers who are quick to balance. They even told us how on release of a game, they already have pre-emptive nerfs in place ready to go at a click of a button, if they see something wrong within the first few days to weeks of launch. League of Legends does the same thing as RIOT (although obviously not an fps, but same concept of pre-emptive nerfs ready to go).
Ultimately, you just keep proving to the player-base that you don't play test before release. You never have. Hence why upon every expansion release, there is always at least one game breaking exploit and/or bug.
All I ask of you Bungie, is to playtest. It will solve 99% of your problems before they even become one.
