I've noticed for quite a while now that the lore tabs for exotics speak of a more general tale and the exotic in question takes a transient, even a backseat role.
Eg.
Tommy's Matchbook - "He held out a long, white-bodied rifle, with a flat, disc-shaped drum instead of a standard magazine."
Dead Man's Tale - "I straighten the leather wrap around my Tex-foundry rifle."
Hawkmoon - The gun itself isn't even mentioned.
Not that I don't appreciate the stories at large that each tab is trying to tell but a lot of them just leaving me asking questions like
"Where did it come from?"
"Who made it?"
"Why was it made?"
"What's the story behind the exotic perk?"
Etc...
The last lore tab I can think of that spoke more generally about the exotic was Eyes of Tomorrow, but even then that was in a second hand manner.
I want to see more lore where the exotics are more overtly the main focus and the actual driving force behind their story. Like St0mp-335 that talk about 2 guardians testing out the prototype boots. Or Hardlight which is treated as an advert for the weapon itself.
Or at the very least, play a bigger role than just an off-hand remark

2 RepliesHonestly, the guns are just a way we interact with the world. And really, we dont need to know the details from the gun, do we?

Hawkmoon had a whole quest explaining why it’s back, DMT is a Tex gun and we’ve seen their work 4x now, and tommy isn’t that important at least to me it’s a season pass weapon
