Remove freezing in pvp

I know you guys have no game sense at all, but when you cant disable stasis in pvp, remove all the negative status effects like freezing and slowing.

  • At the very, very, least, you need some immunity after breaking out. I was froze 4 times in a row by a warlock who was hitting me from a distance and I still couldn't do anything because I just kept getting froze again.

      • Stasis has way to many problems. Duskfield grenades are the size of a titan bubble and they also pull you in on impact with almost no way to get out of it. Throwing stars do over half damage to a player and slow them as well. Dodging slows a player. Everything on each character has the ability to slow or freeze the player with 0 counters to them.

        Two reasons why I think stasis or its effects won’t ever be removed from pvp: 1. It’s a subclass. 2. It is the selling point of Beyond Light DLC

      • No supers should be freezable. No one inside a Well should ever get frozen. The AoE of most stasis abilities needs to be reduced and the damage needs to be reduced. The stasis powers are all over-tuned.

          • I will start by saying I have not been in PVP in 3 years, and don't really miss it. My take on all the complaints about stasis, is that most don't like it because it messes with their play style. It also makes it possible for a less skilled player to either get away from a better player, or kill that better player, and god knows, you can't have that. Stasis can take away a players advantage, and you hate that fact. It can suck you out of cover, freeze you around corners, and can counter the shotgun slide pretty easily. I would say it has accomplished exactly what Bungie wanted it to accomplish. It forces players out of their comfort zone, and takes away the stale advantages people have been using. Most refuse to adapt, because it takes effort, and thought, and they can't use their crutch behavior anymore. You can say anything you want, call me anything you want, tell me how wrong I am, but you all know its true. But, you can't admit or face that either.

              • I don't think stasis should be removed but tuned appropriately. Honestly I don't know why they even added it at this point considering they can't balance normal guns. Then again they're doing a lot of questionable things with that too. They removed weapons like mountaintop, redrix's broadsword, and recluse because they couldn't find the balance for them. They basically brought redrix back with the trials pulse so honestly don't know why they even bothered removing redrix in the first place. I digress though if you can't balance your normal weapons why would you add in the most challenging thing in any game to balance especially for PvP.

              • Played freelance survival last night, first time in pvp since stasis, got froze twice in the 4 games I had, I got out of it pretty quick, and managed to evade stasis supers pretty easy. I personally didn't see an issue with it. Maybe longer game modes expose more of an issue but I only play survival so can't comment on other game modes.

              • Disabling stasis in pvp would be amazing. Bungie’s complete neglect of pvp and this freeze/slow bullshit will drive everybody away from pvp.

              • No. I don't even care about getting frozen anymore. I've gotten very good at playing around Stasis. Only Glacial Quake bothers me these days. An entire subclass and damage type should not be made useless.

                • You should be able to break out right away. You would take damage depending on resilience or you could wait to unfreeze and take no damage but reduce the time while frozen significantly. Also you should be able to break free while in the air.
