Title, that mode needs a HUGE overhaul.
There are plenty of threads with suggestions, and even videos talking about it it. I’ll link one, which i think covers most of the problems and could be a significant improvement to trials.

When people would rather throw themselves off the map than actually playing your game to get ONE SINGLE DROP, you have a problem.

2 Repliesthen they will have to kill off saint-14 or send him to the forbidden island for rejected and non-returning characters and nobody wants that so no they won't vault it and this is how you lose half of your customers/players in the first place by getting rid of stuff it's like Disney replacing the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean ride with something else that nobody will go on and then they will leave and never return until they bring the iconic ride back but not at full parity and changing the storylines in the ride like they did by changing the auction scene with another scene and they do not like change to the contrary

1 ReplyEdited by xbroggiex: 2/14/2021 5:17:14 AMPlayed Trials for the first time ever this weekend, just for the new pulse because I wanted a kinetic pulse for PvE and got a good roll thank god. However, there is some simple ways I think Trials can be fixed reward wise to make it more reasonable to all players. Firstly, as of this moment you only get 1 token if you win a game and nothing if you lose. I think you should get 1 if you lose and 2 or 5 if you win a game. This incentivises participation even for people that aren't that skilled in the game to reach flawless or win most games. Secondly, instead of having RNG packages at S-14 just allow players to spend tokens on previously acquired Trials gear that then randomly rolls when bought. For example lets say you got Messenger this week then next weekened rolls around you could play some games and earn tokens to then buy another messenger that randomly rolls this would keep more players playing every weekend for the rolls they want on specific gear. Finally, and even though I don't really plan on going Flawless it seems you have to keep going flawless to try to get a good roll on adept weapons. I think the way to simply fix this is to buff the amount you get to mitigate burnout on players, for example once you have gone flawless you would then be able to acquire a quest from S-14 that would then ask you to get 4 wins (Not in a row) and x amount of kills with weapon type (All in Trials btw). That would allow hardcore players to get more adept rolls per card they complete and would give players that got flawless that aren't so hardcore a chance to get actual decent rolls on adept gear they have already earned without having to keep going flawless. (The quest would be repeatable) I can't really say much in terms of balancing crucible but fixing up the rewards is a core part to getting people to actually play it.

11 RepliesWould vaulting Trials do much though? No extra resources are going to anything else since there are no resources going to Trials

2 RepliesI couldn't agree more. Bungie should seriously stop wasting time & resources into trials which is only played by: streamers, cheaters, people doing paid carries... what's the point. Their time should be better spent trying to fix all the issues with regular crucible which is in a truly depressing state. People don't play regular PvP anymore. Trials is completely out of the question

No!!! Throw it under it.
