Things were getting better for a while with a number of quests having a both an PVE and PVP track. My guess is the PVP numbers are down so much that Bungie has to force PVP to get the numbers up so the content creators can play someone else besides sweats in crucible. They are taking the same approach to trials. They sunset Redrix Broadsword only to replace it with an identical weapon in Trials. Want your gear back? You need to grind the most TOXIC activity in game.

These challenges took the place of weekly bounties, of which there was one for pvp. I too strongly dislike Bungo forcing people into pvp but this is not one of those times. This is a replacement for the weekly bounties so it's the same amount of pvp either way.

1 ReplyOkay the hours to get 50 super kills in Mayhem I have to call BS on unless you were using a Titan bubble and if so there's other issues going on here. I do agree that they force game modes on us by insisting we get Guardian kills in crucible or Gambit matches and stuff to complete weapon catalysts and other pursuits. That's garbage! They should make the paths to completion accessible via PvE or PvP activities the players choose. I've -blam!- for years that Bungie needs to let the players play the way they want not based on spreadsheet data or some stupid social experiment. Some folks love Gambit! I hate it with a passion! I enjoy PvE (non-Gambit) stuff and not so much PvP. You may enjoy PvP and not like PvE and that's fine but why should I be have to play PvP and you have to play PvE if you don't like it to get something done? This is just my opinion and you are absolutely entitled to yours. Stay safe and be awesome to one another Guardians!

I don’t ever want to touch PvP(excluding mayhem where everything is fair and balanced, lol). I don’t want to hear about it, read it, see it, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! but bungo makes us do PvP for ticcus caty.

Catalysts and seasonal events I can understand not to be tied to either mode only. But a challenge list that is obviously made to reward playing all aspects of the game is completely fine. It's just bright dust.

Bungie has cross promoted all aspects of the game, so that people play all the content for 6+ years. Why would you buy a game that has a so much history of doing so if you hate it? After this much time, I'd just expect it.

Well I don't like to play Mayhem too and therefore I simply leave this one out. But no one is FORCING you. Simply don't get that 1 out of 10 Challenge. Won't die from that.
