I had 3x1260 characters last season and have hit the hard cap on my warlock within the first week so it is advantageous to stay ahead, and I'm not even raiding either.

8 RepliesIt really isn’t satisfying at all to level up. It always feels like a chore.
-
7 RepliesI just wanna be max level and actually enjoy playing the game.

9 RepliesEdited by RopeAdope: 2/10/2021 5:43:14 PMBruh... So I was already kinda bored and wanted to see what the whole “New Light” experience was like. Not a new chtr, mind you. Still 1250+. Still getting hit just as hard. Still having the same minimal impact with damage. Vandals still took 2shots to down. I’m not complaining about that tho. It just proves there is no spoon Why can’t they keep the power-check for players climbing their way up? Once you’re there, none of it matter except to keep you from playing and enjoying the game for what it is. You think they’d have learned from the Forge. And yet, this is worse! With the Forge, you couldn’t play new content right away Now? You can’t even play OLD content right away. It’s so goddamn ridiculous (Tangent: Where tf are all those umbral engrams at? Stop listening to youtubers!) People just want to play the game and have fun. LET THEM Edit: I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company take such a heavy-handed approach to intentionally inhibiting their customers access to the product they paid for

7 RepliesFor the past couple of seasons I’ve been only 1 light point away from max pinnacle with only 1 week left in the season (casual player) and I just want to enjoy max level for a bit. I’ve never been more unmotivated than I have this season as I’m sick of chasing this carrot on a stick. Plus, adding an expiration date on everything sure doesn’t help either. At first I was bummed, but now I’m just getting annoyed. I shouldn’t be getting annoyed doing what I love.
-
3 RepliesDude but you need to get your level up fast for... um... well... Never mind. There’s nothing to do.

It wouldn't be so bad if there was actually duplicate protection. In just the two days since it launched, all of my Powerful and Pinnacle drops and Prime Engrams have been two Helmets, three Arms and three Chests. How in the hell am I supposed to make any progress when things keep dropping in the same gear slot several times in a row? All that accomplishes is making me feel like I've completely wasted my time trying to progress. Two days in and I'm already just done for the week because there is no reason to play if by playing to make progress I make zero progress because the game's RNG is that awful. And I don't think it is RNG. With that happening to myself and so many people so often, I don't think there is RNG involved. I'm now confident it happens deliberately to pad the time people have to play. Instead, I just don't want to play it. Weekly Challenges feel no different, if not weirdly more tedious, than the bounties they supposedly replaced. Strikes are missing that are supposed to be available now. The new Exotic armors are awful with, for a second season in a row, the Warlock having the best one. There's just no incentive to play the game if the game, by design, is meant to take that long to get anything done. And it's not fun. If it were actually just plain fun to do then the repetitiveness wouldn't be quite so bad but the majority of people's time is spent checking things off their chores list. How is that fun? Rewards are nerfed only to be sunset later. Thank goodness you spend all those resources getting a fully Masterworked set of armor just to have it taken away from you later. It's so frustrating. I hate that I hate this game so much because I want it to be good and fun. Not just a series of chores to complete and hope that all the hours you spent playing it that week weren't wasted by the game's supposed "RNG." Two seasons in a row that just further my stance. I'll play what I paid for, get what I can of what I paid for, and be done with this game by the time the next year rolls around.

1 ReplyLooks like its time for "Season of Other Games" again. I burned out on the grind factor during the previous set of season passes. It just was not fun. I've all ready lost interest.
-
Finnished 3 powerfull drops and guess what? 3 gauntlets🤮🤮🤮
-
Seriously tho! I don’t understand why everyone is praising this season soo much. I’m three days in and I’m bored as hell. Battlegrounds was fun the first couple times but that is literally all there is to do! Do playlist activities to get gold. Use gold to use hammer, do battlegrounds, repeat. Wartable upgrades locked behind timegated challenges. This is sooo boring and tedious. More content that feels like chores. Maybe I’m in the minority here but I’m over it.

I much prefer the way Destiny 1 was. You level up at the start of a new year then get to enjoy being at max level for awhile, while just playing the parts of the game you like. The constant chase of pinnacle rewards sucks. I don't remember the last time I got to max level in Destiny 2, not sure if I ever have lol...

3 RepliesEdited by Inflatablepants: 2/11/2021 5:54:34 PMYea they should just do like, levelling, like any ordinary game. Experience levels you up, and Higher level enemies are harder then lower level enemies, and it takes longer to level up each level. Armour and guns have no effect on said level, maybe. Otherwise they could perhaps have levels of their own, but you can upgrade them to your current level. For crucible, everyone is at the same level.

2 RepliesYep. Annoying Tedious Not necessary
-
I dislike having to prioritize gear that has higher power level but has worse stats
-
Powel level has never been so pointless in Destiny as it is right now....

In the course of my career as a vidcon specialist (my own coinage, spend it wisely), I have never seen such blatant and frankly, sickening ignorance as that exhibited by the "people" (if, in fact, they are homo sapiens at all, as their intelligence implies elsewise) that claim that Zelda is not an RPG. There is nothing that Shigeru "Shiggy" Miyamoto could possibly do to make the vidcon any more of an RPG as it meets every single criterion for being one, particularly that it takes place in an imaginary realm with a fantastical beastiary, the damsel/villain ratio is at or above standards, and that the core emphasis of the gameplay is on bedazzling all foes with impeccable swords and sorcery. Furthermore, this line of thought can be extended to all vidcons in which the player controls a character (hence, roleplaying), though I cringe slightly at the thought of such mundance vidcons as Madden being RPGs, as they do not even include exotic weaponry such as the tonfa.

1 ReplyThis game is like a one trick pony when it comes to keeping players. There is no imagination behind this game's actual game play direction. It's like a shrinking hallway.
-
It's like I've said in a similar post. They won't remove it cuz that would invalidate sunsetting and heaven knows they'd hate that. How else are they going to sell us back content we've already paid for in the past and consider it half, if not more, of a seasons content? 🙄
-
3 RepliesIncreases in power caps should be tied to expansions and not seasons. I miss how I used to be able to max out then afterwards spend my time experimenting with different builds, mastering gameplay, and chasing god rolls. I also had more time to play with friends and help new players. I feel the current model leaves players constantly grinding just to stay competitive rather than letting them feel truly pinnacle.
-
Its the lack of content. Which is why its a thing.
-
The artifact is def the single worst part of the grind now. Every season, you power grind it well past the "cap" and then boom, next season its gone. that additional 10-30 power people get from it is felt as a huge loss where you then have to regrind those levels again with no reason. THERE IS NO REASON FOR IT. That is what the problem is
-
2 RepliesI have been saying this for three seasons now. Grind power, artifacts and seasonal thing.. Rinse and repeat but don't actually add anything new. Just move it around and rename it.. It's a tired format for sure.. Like a job.
-
Same ol same ol
-
Why we need weekly rotating dungeons, raids, and empire/nightmare hunts.
-
3 RepliesYeah but everyone moaned about weapons and armour having to be ranked up by unlocking the perks so how else could we level I'm up for less grind like everyone else
-
I wish they would add new game/engagement mechanics that aren't just new animations for the same result or playing it safe by having all classes experience similar abilities Make a class kick, have that kick cover distance and break shields Have another do slower punches but stun enemies Give warlocks and titans a hunter jump! Give hunters a glide! Sidesteps, rolls, ducking and weaving? Different running animations, enemies taking different levels of damage to classes or light/darkness
