I upgraded my service back end October and had to get a new modem and router because other one was to old to support the 400 meg upgrade from 100 meg. It's been great but once in a while I have been having the entire service stop working and I have to restart everything. I called and got a support rep and explained what I was experiencing she logged into the modem and immediately saw that it was not configured properly for the past 3 damn months. The tech that I talked to when the upgrade was sent to the new modem didn't do it right. She made a quick change and said if you have any further problems please get back with us but the problem should be fixed and no more intermittent drops of service should occur. All I'm asking is please please please contact them and make sure you have everything configured properly before coming to forums and talk nonsense about Servers that don't even exist and Bungie needs to fix their servers. If the mods here ask you to run and share the stats of your connection just do it. Run the test give them the information so they can try to help you through the problems and find out what is causing you to not be able to enjoy the game. 99% of the time it will be on your end with your setup with your ISP or unfortunately your location in the world.

1 ReplyEasier for you to say i'm currently restricted because of pretty much of geographic location. The game isn't popular in my region + my country doesn't have the best infrastructure for interent, nothing I can do about that so consider yourself lucky

Edited by Adidasダブ: 2/7/2021 10:26:36 PMThere are times when the issue can be due to where you are located in the world depending upon errors in the hardware of your ISP or the hardware of the game service/platform. For example: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/49387
Destiny Dev Team: This past week Valve identified hardware configuration issues with 4 relays in their Chicago, Virginia, Stockholm, and Dubai data centers. In each case, the affected relay was unable to send traffic to one other relay in the same data center. If a connection to a peer went through both of those relays, then it would drop. Valve has fixed the configuration issues, and we have confirmed that the rate of disconnections in the affected areas has been reduced significantly.
visit the Network Troubleshooting Guide for more in-depth guides: https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915

4 RepliesI applaud you for actually taking the time to work with your ISP and resolve your connection issue instead of blindly claiming that everything's OK.
