Why does tether take ten seconds to do what stasis does instantly? It's always been slow but now it just reeks if Bungie's incompetence
Edit: ib bounty, kill opponents with ability kills. Tether 4 ppl, land, shoot them all. 0% toward bounty.
Srasis, jump, freeze them, land and shoot 4 people, counts toward bounty.

1 ReplyI always felt all void abilities in the game should be all about suppression, imagine a nova bomb able to suppress, debuff and then having the seekers finishing off the enemies? Bottom tree could be the instant kill but with a much larger radius and turned into lance nova bomb. Imagine tethers activating instantly with direct hits killing instantly with really good tracking but being tethered only suppresses the enemies instead of slowing them down? (Unless its top tree obviously). Titan sentinel shield is actually fairly good at suppressing enemies which is cool. Stasis should only slow players down and slow handling but not completely freeze enemies, the shatters need a massive nerf. What the game really needs is less power in abilities so using weapons have more value. There is nothing wrong with a couple of debuffs, buffs or an ability able to deal about 120 in damage but being able to completely immobilize them is terrible. How does someone buff tethers without making it as annoying as stasis? Make it debuff and suppress enemies, they wont get slowed however they will have a purple glow for about 3-5 seconds and they would take the same amount of damage as if they were tethered. The radius of top tree tether can be buffed and bottom tree sacrifices suppression for lethality.

Let me ask y’all a question, hopefully you guys can help clarify. So statis is a darkness ability which gives you the power to command ice abilities, right? So why the heck am I getting frostbitten and end up dead?

Low key the only reason I don't run stasis in PVP is because of the sheer satisfaction of banking a knife with Athrys.

Because Bungie are crap at tuning supers. Got tired of firing a tether towards someone coming at me, they pop their super and walk straight through it and kill me & a few team mates. While i'm dead watching my ghost the tether finally kicks in and pulls them out their super and they proceed to drill it with bullets till it disappears and they walk away unscathed. Bungo sandbox tuning at its finest.

In Destiny 1 Tether made countering other supers with it easy. In Destiny 2 by the time it hits and tethers an enemy super they far enough away for it to break and not stop the super for ... reason? ... Bungie is incompetent as hell. I forget Tether exists.

If you think about it, the revenant hunter has like 3 supers: silence and squal (the real super) and then a mini D1’s FoH (shatterdive), and a mini tether effect in the form of slow (wich you can argue that it is even more powerful and can be used more often). Not to mention that they can easily freeze aswell.

5 RepliesTether is crap, people will tell you that you’re using it wrong(which could be) but the fact it doesn’t suppress quickly even if you fire it directly at someone is ridiculous. In fairness both bottom and top tree nightstalkers still aren’t horrible even with a rather mild super. [spoiler]But yes either nerf stasis by a lot or rework light classes to compete[/spoiler]
