Need to add drop protection to raid exptic
My son, Hunt3r Xtr3me and I do the raid every week on all 3 toons and help sherpa others and neither of us get the exotic. Meanwhile others that only do it to get the exotic, and never help others and never run the raid again, get it on their first few tries. It seems like those that help others raid are penalized by reducing their drop chanced [maybe because one of the runs we helped others it should have dropped but can't because we already ran it earlier that week and now it won't drop on a run it can drop?]. You need to make it quest related like divinity, or have drop protection for those that like to raid and help others. Got my Divinity on my second run and still did GOS to help others get clears/Divinity. Over 100 runs in DSC and 50 sherpas [36 drop chances] and still no eyes of tomorrow. Sucks when people you help that don't help others rub it in your face because they get it and you don't. Better yet, guarantee the drop if you sherpa 25 people. Award those that help others.

As someone who went through Last Wish 80+ runs before getting the raid sparrow, thanks to Bungie FINALLY increasing the drop rates... I feel your pain.

My group have 30 runs so far, still missing 2 rockets and until attempt 28 or so, one had 2 rockets drop but still no machine gun. We're mainly after the title and the challenges are already time gating the seal so why time gate the title AND peoples enjoyment with a new exotic even further with low as hell odds and no bad luck protection? It makes no sense. They make quest exotics and they receive praise and everyone tells them we want more of that. They add bad luck protection, we praise them and tell them more of that as well if they absolutely will not do more raid quests. Then they ignore ALL of that feedback from all corners of the community to follow their own twisted vision. Do they feel like this makes people feel like they earned it more? Cause I imagine when you've done 30+ runs and don't have the exotic, by the time you actually drop it you're not even relieved anymore or even feeling like you earned it.

RNG has always been a thing since the games conception. Raid exotics have always been RNG based. This is nothing new, I did VoG multiple times and never got vex. I did Crotas multiple times and never got necro (original) I did last wish, crown, scourge and DSC and didn't get them on my first go. I had to work for it. Is RNG a real ball ache at times? Yes. Will it be changed? Nope, because it never has before.
