In the raid, Kings fall, we go into the ascendent plain on the dread not, but instead of it turning all white and black, it keeps its basic colors, why is this. I know that it’s not because he is royal, since we see savathunes throne world with Noxris in it, is this just a design reason from Bungi, or is there lore to explain why.

1 ReplyMy understanding is that the dreadnaught is his throne world. So I think it was that he flipped his throne world inside out and put I it into the dreadnaught. Now I do how it works. I previous reply I saw someone say he retreated, but to me I thought we had killed him in the story. And then he went to his throne world like all other give do when they die. However the difference is that his throne world was also his dreadnaught. Which I think also explains his size change for the raid. Y'all correct me if I'm wrong just starting to get into the lore and stuff and I would love to learn

5 RepliesIts in the books of sorrow if you want to look up the lore yourself.

2 RepliesBecause he was a God.

1 ReplyBecause Onyx likes fancy things.

The Hive form their own throneworlds so they would be different, Oryx and his two sisters are the oldest so theirs would be different from the younger Hive since the architecture would change over the billions of year that the Hive have been around.

He moved the entire throne world into the dreadnaught, so basically, the dreadnaught IS his ascendant realm. That’s why he retreated when he defeated him the first time because we could have possibly killed him then
-
Basically he pulled his throne world into our reality and placed it inside the dreadnought. The dreadnought is basically his Palace of destruction and the best way to keep his throne world safe.

His throne world, if I'm not mistaken, is either the Dreadnaught or inside of it.

Edited by Barracon: 1/26/2021 11:48:22 PMAccording to destinypedia Oryx has his throne world in our plane of existence so that would explain that but then it brings up other issues. https://www.destinypedia.com/Ascendant_realm Personally i like to think that for most of the time the gray color is what the ascendant realm is normally. Its when someone then creates a throneworld, depending on their power, how "normal" it looks, Mara's was desecrated, so its exposed to the "elements" if you will. As with Savathun, maybe that isn't actually her throne world or maybe we our in her front yard so to speak. Ive always liked to think the sea of screams is the Ascendant plane between throneworlds but thats just my preference.

4 RepliesThe ascendant realm is an extra dimensional plane of existence. Scientific theory posits a total of 10 dimensions, but we can only experience 3. So the Ascendant Realm is basically just another dimension. There’s nothing in the lore that suggests that Throne Worlds are even on the same plane of existence as the Ascendant Realm. It’s perfectly reasonable to assume that Throne Worlds are in a whole other dimension again, as different to the Ascemdant Realm as it is to our own three dimensional world.

5 RepliesI found it to be odd that we defeat mini me Oryx in the Regicide mission and in the Kingsfall raid his pinky finger is larger than we are.

You can get Ascendant Realm cosmetic upgrades from Eververse 🤪

Edited by Chucky: 1/26/2021 7:42:47 PMThrone worlds are located in the ascendant realm. They are pockets within it

1 Reply<The Ascendant Realm is not Hive-based. It's Darkness. If you want to change the colors of an Ascendant area, take it up with IT or get powerful enough to do it yourself.>

3 RepliesOryx combined his throne world with the dreadnaught making one and the same Crotas was actually set in the ascendent realm Savathuns is also in the ascendent realm but she most likely models it after oryxs as a sign of either respect or as her way of saying he ain’t shit and she can be just as strong
-
Because Oryx was the strongest of the siblings. He had the most power in sword logic, had the greatest achievements, and even conquered a few worlds. That and his dreadnaughr was his ascendant realm. He could have made the ways bright pink and it would still be bright yellow in the ascendant realm.

1 ReplyBecause bungie is weird and confusing and doesn’t like to make sense

3 RepliesIf you're strong enough to make your own throne world then you can make it look like whatever you want.
