More and more console players with “perfect aim”
So in the last couple of weeks I’ve mucked around with lots of different weapons to try to mix it up a bit and I’ve noticed that I’m coming across more and more players that just don’t miss headshots. I slide, I jump, I strafe, but they just. Don’t. Miss. I often get hit while in cover before I peak, or after I’ve moved into cover.
So here’s the question; is it a case of connection meaning I’m visible on my opponents screen before they are on mine, and/or is there an increase in modded peripherals that make these players gods?
NOTE 1: Just to clarify, I’m not talking about sniping, but more the 120rpm hand cannons.
NOTE 2: All the users I’ve come across all have cross-play accounts. Are we seeing a migration back to console due to anti-cheat initiatives on PC?

As a few others have mentioned, some of the 120s have high aim assist. You really just need to aim your first shot then let aim assist do the rest on your ensuing shots - good players will then make themselves even more lethal if they get good rolls. Another great point noted in the comments is the low player base in crucible where it’s a lot of core players remaining which make the games feel sweatier. It’s difficult to administer CBMM when there’s not enough volume to fully make it this way, hence, why you still might match up against someone outside of your region or even country. Just my thoughts.

1 ReplyThe 120rpm hand cannon aim assist is through the roof with the right rolls. It is the current meta. Other than that, your strafe may be predictable and players hard pre-fire radars. After so many years and so many players dropping out, you are playing the core PvP crowd and they are good.

Similar to activision taking legal action against pc cheats, sony/microsoft needs to stop the companies making these devices. Bungie ninjas ban posts mentioning exact names but the #1 company starts with a “C” and markets their device as a “Game Controller Converter”.

I mean they're called 120s because of their aim assist not their fire rate.

6 RepliesIn what game mode, judging by ur power ur on about quick play. I dont think anyone is stupid enough to risk a ban over qp, so it’s probably a good player. It is possible fo cheat on console with mod packs, however few ppl do it. Maybe its a problem with your play-style e.g. peeking for too long, allowing people to snipe you

3 RepliesI ran into a guy like that in a Gambit match a few months back. Landed like over a dozen headshots in a row....which you know is almost impossible to do under game conditions at the ranges that PVP happens in Gambit. Something is up----cheat-wise---on consoles. I'm not sure what it is.

The player count is dropping especially pvp, most of the people left are the highly skilled pvp players.

5 RepliesWhat you have Expierienced is Bungies Nice and By Everyone Loved *nearly Throws up* Connection based match making... you play in your Country but someone else plays on the other Side of the Globe but the Bad CBMM gives him a Pass just cuz he has by joining a Lobby a Low ping but in the lobby of a game his ping Goes up cuz he plays now on a Server that is far away from his home Country this means your Connection is on his Screen Worse than his and you see him lagging around... what you see is not what he sees... the Game Constantly trys to sync the lobby so that no one runs desynced around and dies Suddenly cuz his playermodel backtracks the Movement you already made... think about it in this Way... on his Screen everything looks normal... you on the other hand have the Same issue... on your Screen everything Looks Chill... you ran back into cover and feel Save after an Attack... but now comes the Bad Part... on the Screen of someone else you are not behind cover... for him you run against a wall or the playermodel did not Catch up with you Resulting in a Death behind cover... you got shot by him on his screen and the System detects the hits but gave the info to the server delayed... you are in no line of sight but still get killed by Magic... i hope this covers everything you want to know why

I’ve thought this too. I’ve just switched to PS5 and thought maybe the increased frames and field of view may be the reason for this but I haven’t felt much of an advantage since switching. Another possibility is the keyboard and mouse support of new consoles and some PC players potentially switching over to next gen.

Yeah, perfect aim exists on console. There aren’t even enough PC players to support the effort of making and selling it.
