I've just went through 2 hours of waiting atleast 4 times to try and play some D2, turns out Steam doesn't want that. I eventually tried to reset my laptop's systems and re-install D2, to no avail. Before the reset, steam would crash the game and show a popup to go verify the integrity of game files. I've done it a couple of times, but it continued. I've decided to delete D2 and re-install it a couple of times to still get the same pop up. I reinstalled steam to no avail and after the System reset, D2 would allow me to go to the Tower for only a brief moment, but as I went to Old Russia it'd crash mid-way and freeze. I heard a crash sound coming from the game and tried closing the game, to no avail. Steam wouldn't close either when I tried to Exit through the icon. I was forced to restart my laptop a couple of times and thought the Cross Save feature was the cause. And it probably is, since I cannot disable it. I wish to know, how do I fix this issue?
