"Wonder what the gates are doing open" I quickly change back into my armor and investigate

[i]The wind bellows and the biting cold seeps into your armor.[/i]

I tighten my armor as I say "who would open the gate at this time in the morning?"

[i]The air grows slightly warmer. Nothing happens.[/i]

"I got a bad feeling about this" I say as I cautiously wait for something to happen

[i]The sun peeks out over the horizon. You feel drawn to the spire.[/i]

I quickly head to the spire
-
[i]You see Nova floating in mid air, seemingly asleep.[/i]

"Hey nova"
-
[i]She wakes up and falls flat on her face.[/i] [i]"I, wha?"[/i]

"Good morning"

[i]"Good morning. Why'd you wake me up?"[/i]

"Is there any scheduled use of the gate? I ask this because I was woken up by a rumble and when I went to investigate the gate was open."

[i]"Huh, it shouldn't be open. Especially not now."[/i] [i]She teleports down to the gate.[/i]

I follow

[i]She seems noticeably concerned.[/i] [i]"Wow. Maybe somebody went outside, I don't know."[/i]

"Want me to go investigate?"

[i]"I'll handle it. Find somewhere to hide."[/i]

"Ok" I go hide behind the empty house i was in

[i]You have an odd feeling of doubt. A single sound of a shotgun comes from outside the city.[/i]

I think to myself "I've gone this far" as I switch from an armored mark to an armored cloak. I then roll, turn invisible, and secretly investigate

[i]You see Nova standing over a dead body.[/i]

I do nothing but watch just incase

[i]She digs her claws into it and pulls out a small card.[/i] [i]"That's... precarious."[/i]

I keep watching

[i]She kicks the body, and then walks back into the city.[/i]
