Any word on lost exotic weapon catalyst?
My suggestions are either give them to xur and they can only be purchased with an exotic cypher, or you could lock them behind legendary lost sectors as a rare drop.
Also update the catalysts so that all you have to do is get kills once it drops for you. I know that back in the day certain exotics had special steps.
Some Examples:
- whisper of the worm
- outbreak perfected
- Skyburners oath

2 RepliesI think just give them all to Xur to put them in rotation, but not just the unavailable catalysts, have some of the ones currently only earnable from certain activities (looking at you MIDA catalyst only available from Legend rank in Glory, might be controversial but it's not like Bungie cares about Glory playlists either)

Word is they've let Psion Flayers out of their cages, to dig around in the Central AI's Cortex. Which means they really want what's buried in there. If Rasputin was protecting it, it's valuable. We've got to flush those Flayers out.

The catalysts may be lost but we need to know if Taniks has no House. He kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is a murderer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Wolves broke their chains, yes? Now Taniks works for Wolf Pack, but not for long

Upgraded Acrius, and Telesto are the ones I want. Either give them to Xur, or add to the Kiosk for purchase... along with all the other ones no longer attainable. It really don't seem too hard.

Have Whisper and Outy, but would took sky's too. Do not have that one.

1 ReplyDidn't Bungie mention sometime before Christmas 2020 that they were planning on bringing back the Whisper and Outbreak missions temporarily at some point this year? If that's the case, You can still do the Whisper of the Worm catalyst steps through the mission. Outbreak is the same. Skyburners Oath, alongside others Sleeper Simulant and Telesto had their catalysts only obtainable from the Leviathan Raid and Raid Lairs (Eater of Worlds/Spire of Stars), which are vaulted. Personally, I would like an alternative to obtaining these and steps that don't involve delving into content that is no longer in the game.

I have two catalyst in my quest. Didn’t know what they were. Just thought that once I complete all the tasks I would be rewarded an exotic quest.

Had my whisper catalyst 66% done and then poof quest is gone with no way to finish.

No word yet other than Outbreak and Whisper returning next season, but that doesn't mean their catalysts will be brought back with them.
