Warlock and Stasis feedback for PvP. Keep it clean.

Hopefully Bungie already knows what Stasis is like inside of PvP, But in the off chance that someone comes across this. The warlock stasis subclass itself (Not the super) feels very weak compared to the other classes. Besides having 4 aspects. (Which only 1 or 2 actually impact gameplay) And the ability to insta-freeze via a charged melee attack. The warlock is the only class to not be able to shatter ice crystals without using weapons or a melee charge. The hunter has shatterdive and the titan has the slide. This past weekend of trials was Javelin-4 and majority 3 stasis hunters'. The smaller maps are dominated by the glacier grenade and shatterdive combo in the corridors'. While not impossible to counter, Most people will find this very frustrating as it does kill most if not all roaming supers.

  • warlock stasis is the balacend one , the super need a little speed buff , hunter and titan need the ''wombo combo '' nerf , and maybe the titan can get a little speed nerf in super

Don't worry, bungie have seen all the feedback. They'll nerf the other 2 classes to be on par or worse than shade binder. That's what they do and we all suffer for it. Thanks Trials 😡

    • Warlocks overall are still incredible. While yeah, they might have the worst stasis neutral game, they have easily the better of the supers. Stasis itself is the issue, all of the subclasses are broken in their own way.

    • Warlocks are meant to be inferior to hunters and titans. Nothing new here.

    • I think that stasis needs some changes: Warlock: - the melee gets reverted to the state it was in at launch, except it slowes instead of freezes. - reduced super duration Titan: - the titan melee needs fixing, on consoles the hit boxes on the titan gets so screwed that it becomes impossible to kill them before they kill you. - behemoth needs a duration and armor reduction. - cryoclasm needs a larger cooldown Hunter: - change the melee to 1 charge but it gets more tracking and a longer slow - the super needs a little more armor, the first Kama has a little tinier freeze dome on it, and the tornado is faster, wider, but lasts not as long As it stands, stasis subclasses are destroying crucible as a whole and need a nerf/ tuning.

    • I agree with your statement. People were complaining about the Warlock Stasis but the Titan is unstoppable...Bungie needs to find a balance..all three characters should be Equally powerful.

    • You pointed out the super is not weak compared to the others. Could you explain your reasoning? I think the entirety of shadebinder is weaker, super included. Some easy points off the top of my mind include it being a two-hit combo to kill people. The first hit needed has travel time and an akward spiral projectile, then there is a brief pause before you can even shatter anything that may be frozen. The movement speed is of course, atrocious. Why would Warlocks have increased movement in super when nearly all the other classes roaming supers do *salty sarcasm* The hunter super has a massive initial impact and then lingers for great territory control while you move on or ensure it kills those tagged by it. The titan super last forever, has incredible kill potential, incredible mobility, and incredibly ways to protect itself by being able to either send out a bunch of crystals or a ohk melee.

I'm getting really sick of trying to make Shadebinder work in crucible. The melee is better for PVE. But the sheer amount of times a melee just whiffs in pvp because of lag or whatever reason is just so painful. My KD has been dropping and I was looking at my kills compared to deaths and the clear trend is that I am just dying a lot more than I used to, my kills match to match average is the same. And it's most likely from two additional things besides just losing duels or getting shot in the back. 1) go for a melee to either aggress or defend and the melee whiffs and doesn't freeze for what seems like half the time. 2) glacial grenade slam. I can't tell if someone has their grenade up in the chaos of 6v6 and the minute you see it you're just dead. There's no thwarting it, you just die. On top of that the cold snap grenade is so easy to avoid at this point that I swapped to glacial on warlock just to block doors and gave up on freezing people. And it was at that point that I realized there is no reason to run this class in crucible. It doesn't compete against the other stasis classes. Why would I run a subclass that specializes in freezing that can't reliably freeze enemies, even in defense?

      • I think every class gets a shatter aspect when they release new aspects. Warlock gets a shatter aspect. Titan gets a class ability aspect. And hunter will get an aspect that makes shattered targets do something special....like warlock seekers or titan's pickup shards.

      • I agree.. Warlock melee nerf should be reinstated, that thing is too strong.

        • I use ahamkara and a build of 50/50/100/50/50/100. Melees all day. Can go with coldsnap or dusk grenades. Its filthy and fun. Dont feel at a disadvantage. If i play smart, i dont get shattered. If i play stupid, I do. So I try to not to play stupid.

          • The titans are SUPPOSED to be the ones that shatter, as their melee is the one that inherently has little ability to freeze but goes straight through the walls. Warlocks are SUPPOSED to be incapable of shattering but has the greatest freeze potential, as they do. Hunters are the only outlier as they have access to both sides of the coin...which is funny because their abilities can allow for freezing more than warlocks (dodge, melee, duskfield melee, or any combination of that) and their shatter ability is stronger than the titans slide as a damaging ability (plus a ground slam offers it's own utility for mobility).

          • The class nerf that it received was never needed and I thought it was, but as time goes by I realized that they need to revert the Warlock changes the nerf to the freeze duration on the Melee and coldsnap was enough to balance the class. The class is the weakest in neutral game because the other classes have more than just a new melee ability, they have shatterdive, and a slide that goes fast and further those 2 abilities elivated the Hunter and Titan not to mention both of their melee imo are better than the Warlock in many instances.

          • I've noticed that warlocks are still able to use stasis in PvP. This must be some bug with the latest round of Bungies balance tuning. I'm sure they'll get around to fixing it and disabling Shadebinder some time soon in the new year.
