Lost Sectors 1050/1080 mode
What halfwit at Bungie thought it would be a good idea to have a timer on the lost sectors that if you don't complete within 15 minutes you lose all your revives .
If you can complete it quickly then fine give extra reward if you want to encourage speed play but don't penalize a cautious approach
Also limiting exotic amour to this particular level of lost sector dumb really really really dumb

They’re actually a really good challenge. I didn’t tempt fate I waited till I was 1250 for 1250 Nd 1280 for 1280. The 1280 is so worth it, I got all the arms in one day. Lamment for the boss (basically a one hit), service revolver with unstoppable, europa slug shotgun, grenade perks so you can stun overlord. They did a nice job with these imo.

If you can't get the 1250 Lost Sector done in 15 minutes, go play an easier game. You might enjoy Solitaire, it has pretty solid solo gameplay.

After doing hundreds of them (mostly for dawning essence), I can tell you they are not worth grinding for god rolled exotic armor. It's a complete waste of time.

I'm fine with the timer, but 1280s need a loot buff. I barely notice a difference between a 1250 and a 1280 except one of them takes me a lot longer.

7 RepliesHonestly, it depends on the sector. This week's 1250 isn't too horrible since it has helper bots. I generally hit the boss with about 11 minutes left and I'm only 1236 power and take my time. I have yet to finish though because I just can't seem to stay alive long enough to down the boss.

Considering you can complete 1250s with plat rewards under a 1min and 40 sec and 1280s under 5 mins, 15 mins seems like over kill. its deff not a level issue as you seem to be 1260+ on all your characters and i was doing the 1280s at 1258 double primary weapons. Best advise I can give dont use a bow.

15m for a lost sector is a lot of time, the slower one you need 7 m for the 1280, just learn how oneshot champions

Dude, every lost sector can be run in 6-7 minutes on the 1250 difficulty with ease, and even the 1280s are under 10 minutes. You're not setting up or prepared correctly if you are struggling with completing it under 15 minutes.

I dont like the timer on the 1250 one. 1280 is fine for those who want a challenge.

Just practice and you will easily beat 15 min timer some take longer then others but just takes practice

6 RepliesThe solo community has been asking for content to solo with good rewards, I think the Lost Sectors fill that niche extremely well. The timer is to ensure you aren't playing super cautious, and let's be honest, 15 minutes is plenty of time to complete a Lost Sector. They are trying to avoid players camping in the back of Lost Sectors playing super cautiously expecting to get the Exotic rewards. This is the exact same mentality used in the Grandmaster Nightfalls, you don't reward playing super cautious. At your light level, you should easily be able to beat Legend with the right build, nothing too crazy, but you need to ensure you have Champion Mods equipped and a plan to take them out quickly. Lament is perfect for Barrier Champions. Unstoppable can use any weapon, I prefer Shotgun, but you can use a Handcannon if you would like. Overload are the most tricky. Either use a Scout Rifle to stun, or even better, use a Stasis Slow Grenade using Thermal Overload and Surge Eater mods from the Artifact. This makes Stasis grenades stun Overload Champions while giving your grenade back every time you stun an Overload Champion. You can simply spam grenades and keep the champion in a perpetual state of being stunned. Have fun and good luck.

It’s easy to solo a 1280’lost sector at 1265 light atleast cus that’s what me and my friends were all Doing without much effort other than using the right mods and such

If it takes you over 15 minutes to complete a 1250 lost sector then you should probably find a new game.

if you want free or easy loot get good or change game type. Considering in takes around 5-6 min for the 1280s even if you're 20 lvl lower. 1250 are a joke. 2-3 min max and you stil want extra reward? lmao

My only complain is about the drop rate of exotics and cores, imo first clear of the week should be guaranteed, I just did 10+ clears with only 5 cores and no exotic.

If you prep your load out properly, it doesn't take very long. Abuse the charged with light and warmind mods. Most 1250s take me 3-5 mins and 1280s maybe 6. Find what works best for you though.

Ok so there’s parts of this I agree with and parts I don’t. First, the stuff I agree with; - Timer on 1280 is stupid - You should get bonus rewards for sub-5 and sub-10 minutes Also, even if this wasn’t mentioned, I think they should both be more rewarding with enhancement prisms being uncommon and enhancement cores being guaranteed. Stuff I don’t agree with; - 1250 should have the timer. 1280 modifiers and power level justify more time being allotted, but if you’re even 1240 then doing the 1250 under 15 minutes is quite doable - Exotic armor being tied to it is a fantastic idea. While I think it should have been some exotics tied to the lost sectors and some being world pool, rather than every armor piece being in the lost sector, having a dedicated place to farm is a significant improvement over Forsaken and Shadowkeep where you just had to hope and pray for the exotic armor

I love the bot response basically players that have a robot mind telling you to "get gud". Pay no attention to the bots, they are a complete waste of everyone's time on this forum. I'm wondering who thought the lost secrets 4 years later of requests to update them improved anything in the game. Is this the best this company can come up with 4 years into this game as a "new activity"? What is there worth doing in this game other than the raid knowing the new destination is the only thing relevant out of the entire game and one exotic out of a lost sector? All the content in this game should be relevant and replayable content. I don't mind the timer as much, but I do mind the lack of effort put into creating content in this game.

Personally I can run through most 1250s in less than 3 minutes, 1280s in 10. But I completely agree with you on the timers. I absolutely hate them on any activity. Ever since having to run a nightfall with 5 minutes left (or something like that?) to get the Ratking. I hated them In the whisper and outbreak missions too. Sometimes I just want to chill and look at the cool environment. Wish they would take them away.

With the right technique/light level you can finish a run in under 5 minutes rather easily
