Paracausality
Paracausality. Something so important yet is only rarely talked about and only referenced a few times. You may be wondering, what is paracausality ? I’ll give you an example- guardians are paracausal. They aren’t bound by our laws of nature and make their own fate, no one decides our faith, not even the oracles, or the vex. Another example is the ahamkara, they bend reality to grant wishes, at a cost. Paracausality doesn’t mean that you cannot be bound by anything. Guardians, are paracausal, but when our ghosts die, our connection to the light is severed, and we are no longer paracausal. A powerful being such as oryx is also powerful, yet he is bound like his brood and all the other hive, by the sword logic. The vex and the ahamkara are still quite a mystery to me, as not all vex are paracausal, and are bound by the code. The ahamkara, may or may not be bound by the wishes which we ask of them. This is quite ironic, and it proves that we all, in one way or another are bound by someone or something, paracausal or not. When the darkness tempts us by calling the light weak, they are probably referencing to how, like I stated before, are bound by something. Either, the darkness speaks the truth and really wishes to make us completely unbound, or either it lies, and is bound by something itself.

2 RepliesNow, this is interesting. Stasis was inside us, a power we can wield without shards, but Light... Light was given to us. So, the Ghosts gave us the Light, binding it to us, but what if, in the time, our Light has become our own? Figure it out: Stasis comes from Darkness, yet we found a way to commune with it without being forced to rely on other means, so for Light could actually work the same way? Anyway in strict sense, paracausality means, that we are no longer bound to the cause-effect laws. I.e: When we use a Void Granate, we basically create a singularity where no singularity could normally be created, therefore the effect manifest itself without a causal basis.
