Hello,
I purchased Destiny 2 several years back (when it was on Battle.net) and played all of twice. I picked the game up again recently and tried to link my account on Xbox only to find out that apparently my account has been restricted for 181563 days, nearly 500 years. How does this happen?
Bungie offers no venues to discuss instances like this, which absolutely have to be a false flag. I’ve seen Bungie say that players are not able to discuss bans or restrictions, but how are we as players supposed to find out what’s going on with the game we paid money to play?
I’m looking to try to find more information about this restriction, and if bungie won’t offer it I want to potentially look into pursuing this on the legal side of things. This doesn’t feel right to me.

Hello there! The #Help forums are not able to assist with appeals of restrictions or bans. However, there is a process in place for you to appeal your ban or restriction. Please review the Contact Form: Appeal Ban or Restriction article found here. [i]Please note that, as mentioned in the article, there is no guarantee for a response, nor is there a guarantee that your ban or restriction will be overturned. 1 ReplyAt this point your only option is to leave your accts log in details in your will. They can be passed down from generation to generation so that maybe one day your great great great great great great great great great great great great grandchildren will be able to play.

10 RepliesEdited by Sweet Lew 88: 12/27/2020 6:20:07 PMPlease let us know how the legal avenue goes, suing for $60?. You were likely caught cheating which isn't allowed.

3 RepliesLook on the bright side, the game might be good by then.

1 ReplyYou probably had cheat software on your PC. They have automated detection for cheat software.

1 ReplyEdited by Wildcard: 12/28/2020 1:30:12 AMIf you had something like CheatEngine or any other Hex edit program even Opened it results in a ban regardless if the program was loaded/syncd to the running game. EA does the same bs with BattleField. You instantly get banned if a certain program is running, which is stupid. If were going to hack were not going to use something thats detectable. But if you were legit trying to hack the game you get what you deserve

Iirc b.net accounts are unable to transfer as of the latest season. Not to worry though, anything you lost was more than likely level capped at 1060, while the max is now 1260
