Don't Sunset Supers
Luke, no one wants to live in your "Luke Fantasyland". Sorry, not sorry. If you sunset ANY supers, Destiny 2 will die. End of story.

also, don't sunset our exotics! if either one of these are sunset, I guarantee I'm out for good bungie. I took almost a year off because of shadowkeep, I can do it again permanently.

We'll probably get another Director's Cut soon where Luke will write an overly long, poorly structured, uninformative mess of an essay where he rambles on about something that happened 10 years ago in WoW and never really explains why this change is necessary and good for this game. Then our community managers will release the TWAB and tell us how Bungie are super excited for this amazing change and that they're all really enjoying the 'discussion' they're having about this change with the community.

4 RepliesSee this is where I feel conflicted. I don't WANT to lose the supers, but I also would like to see subclass reworks. The potential for d1 style nova bomb (as the example he used) could be a good way to improve the game especially since we have trees and perks people seldom use (that's absolutely their own fault, but still). I don't know what to say otherwise. Them going back in to actually define the class to fit the playstyle it's supposed to create sounds great, but I don't want to lose the options we have.

I guess this is the start of exotic armor sunsetting too. ursa, shards, giswin, geomags etc all become useless.

We need to “sunset” the fear of allowing this game to be a fun customizable experience for players. We need to “sunset” the fear of letting this game grow and giving players access to meaningful loot and a plethora of activities to earn rewards. That is what this game should be all about Destiny 1 was “sunset” and then Destiny 2 was born. Destiny 2 has been sunset since it was released. Enough is enough

Edited by Erijian: 12/16/2020 11:33:53 PMI wouldn't care whatsoever if they sunset the entire Spectral Blades subclass node. I think it'd be a benefit for PvP actually and wouldn't matter much in PvE as it's one of the worst trees for PvE content.

Wow. How can a company screw up a thing this good? The game development could be on auto pilot, and they keep trying to fix things that aren't broken. I'm glad I left this trainwreck before I got hooked in to the scheme again. Good luck to those of you that stuck around; you are strong, brave guardians.

1 ReplyThere is literally no need for this. They can just make them like Exotic aspects. This would then take up both aspects spots and fragments would still work but it is a different super. Boom fixed but of course Bungie can’t make their game because they are short on people even though they have a studio of almost 800 people.

1 ReplyYou're problem is thinking that he cares or anyone who works at bungie does. As long as people continue to buy the DLC, Buy sliver. They'll continue to shove it up our bhole. Luke Smith pretty much called the player base idiots before that will buy anything. He doesn't care. He's the reason most of the good devs and others quit bungie.

i am okay with the sun setting of supers IF and only IF the do a MASSIVE overhaul of the worse of supers in the game i.e all of arcstrider and all of voidwalker...

The only good thing in D2 right now is the Raid. And it will fet old eventually. D2 is almost dead after Beyond Light. New gen games will come out and D2 will fall behind because they don't care about their community. When they fail it will be bitter sweet, but we will all be there to point at Luke Smith and say "We told you!"

Literally just put a button in the stasis modularity version that switches between the 2 supers each class has, give each super different aspects but shared fragments, it's literally that easy. Why the -blam!- was removing supers even given consideration at this stage in the game's life-cycle?
