Stasis has removed gun skill from PvP ...

We called it LONG before it was added to the game and we were 100% right! Being frozen by effects you have almost 0 chance of avoiding, countering, or contesting doesn't feel good or allow new players to learn what they're doing wrong and in fact, makes the ENTIRE argument for sunsetting invalid! If sunsetting was Bungie's way to counter "Power Creep" then I need a serious explanation for WTF Stasis is if not power creep! Last season I got 20,000 kills in PvP bringing me up to 62,000 and I can constantly get a 10 kill streak. Im no noob when it comes to PvP and I don't need to "Get Gud" because I'm already good enough to know when something has shifted the meta to a point of total imbalance. The gun balancing we have now is the best it has EVER been. But Stasis has made PvP more about who can spam their abilities faster than the next guy and less about the accuracy, moving with intent, map awareness, or positioning. Beyond that, if guns like Mountian top, a gun to this day I despise, were going to get a nerf anyway then WHY did you sunset it because now its come one of the BEST counters to Stasis~ Let me break this down ... Hunter's inability to dodge out of a Duskfield while a Warlock can Icarus Dash out is confusing if not outright BULL%^*#! Titans having to rely on a wall or throwing an opponent off the map to get a kill with their melee is inconsistent and not a viable option without Stasis Crystals to ensure a kill. I've had more people survive the impact into a wall traveling at terminal vocality only to snipe me more than I've actually killed anyone with the impact and it doesn't even have the ability to freeze or slow a target? AND YOU WASTE YOUR MELEE IF IT WIFFS? lLke oh you know, it hits but does no damage, it randomly jerks off in some BS direction for no reason, ext ext. The SAME issues we've been having with melee's on al classes for 2 years now! The nerf to Warlock melee range was overkill! Now, we're more likely to get a normal melee than a changed melee off, resulting in a death due to the slower melee speed vs a hunter or titan. While I agree there needed to be a nerf to the range what we have now doesn't allow the VERY slight tracing to take effect. More often than not it completely misses a target 2 inch's to the left and the AoE doesn't actually work now The Warlock stasis super launching you into the air like you've attached springs to your feet and screamed "Go Go Gadget Spring Boots!" upon activation is bad because it makes you a sitting duck unable to move, defend yourself, or counter being shot at resulting it you immediately getting killed because you can even use the super. The titans super make's visibility of the battlefield hellish and you'll often lose track of what's where simple because of the motion blur, ice, explosions, ext. You're actually better off not using the heavy and just slamming into people like a normal shoulder charge because at least then you can SEE WHERE YOU'RE GOING! And hunter stasis super makes it's perfect for spawning into a team that gets deadlocked into the A spawn on Dead Cliffs. Im sure you've experienced that one by now. You spawn, immediately get frozen, and killed, then respawned right back into the exact same super so you can experience the joy of the bitter cold mercy rule. And then we have the absolute insanity that is being frozen .... Yeah let's add an effect that makes it impossible to defend yourself for 5 seconds with the off-set of taking damage to free yourself. You know, so people can 1 shot body shot you with ANYTHING! Oh and here is a fun fact, if you're using something like Slow NovaBomb and you use it to escape being frozen, you have 0 ability to direct it at a target. Where ever you're facing it where it goes ... Same for ThunderCrash, Blade barrage, Ext. Oh and then there is Thunder Crash. Turn yourself into a missile and launch yourself at ... oh wait, no you don't cowboy. Get frozen mid-air and you lose your super and drop like a -blam!-ing rock! In fact, Stasis makes any panic super almost pointless if your frozen mid animation as it consumes your super ... Oh, and if your frozen mid roaming super, well you're still losing super energy buddy ^__^ Mark my words, if and when Trials returns, the big-name players are ALL going to be saying to exact same things. "Stasis breaks the game on the most fundamental level!" Being frozen should have been reserved for PvE and supers ONLY! By no means should ANY ability allow 1 player to prevent another from being able to defend themselves or escape a bad situation or even worst, trap an entire team at 1 point by repeatedly freezing them for easy kills. This is an FPS game at its core and Stasis removes/negates the key aspect of PvP almost entirely. We only need to wait for the return of Trials for everything I've said here to be repeated by Gladd, Fallout, Kacks, Ext.

Even gave you the benefit of the doubt by looking at the comp rank which is also a joke but why did I even bother after seeing someone run double primary. All those streamers you mentioned aren't even the best players thats why they were so mad they lost to "no names" as they put it and sent minions to harass them. Dude you don't even play at the highest level of skill so spare me about any mention of skill. Quit whining and actually learn or make excuses till the end of time.

    • I was going to read this, but you started saying there's no way to avoid being frozen, and here I am dropping over 30 per match, no stasis whatsoever. Just LEARN to play against it, not everything is point and pew pew pew

      • Bruh. Shotguns removed gunskill from PVP 2 years ago. Stasis brough back the viability of primaries. Dont act like stasis ruined crucible when it has only ruined the lives of shotgun crutchers. Stasis is only good at close range...it is WEAK at mid-long.

          Hi, someone who has a KD higher than .98 here, @jadrabit; Stasis is making people engage in primary fights more. Less use of shotguns, fusions, sidearms, etc. because being pushed at close range can easily be outplayed with a grenade/melee now. You also have to use certain panic supers now more carefully. You’re just bad at the game.. your 20,000 kills with a .98 also means you died more than 20,000 times, all without stasis.

            • Yeah no, special weapons and close combat only maps has. I’m probably the only person who uses scout rifles in pvp at this point. (Which is suicidal!!!!)

              • Destiny has never been about gun skill, it doesn’t require skill, Crucible is made to be chaotic, with crazy abilities, OP guns everywhere, that’s what made D1 so fun

I think every opinion should matter equally without only looking at the ones from good players. But with so much talking about yourself you should at least have a positive kd. Nevertheless, I agree that pvp is pretty chaotic right now. Still after playing many pvp rounds I really got used to it. I used to play voidwalker a lot to counter spectral blades supers. Now where most of them play stasis I switched to stormcaller and it workes very well.                     Things is, it's in the game now. So no matter what you say that isn't gonna change. This isn't a pvp game first and foremost and nor should it ever dictate what happens to anything.

                      Seeing as you put yours- i'll put mine. I got 50,000 kills last season and have 200,000 overall. Stasis isnt the problem. The p2p hit detection is the problem. Stasis causes more primary fights than ever. Dont for a second think d2 pvp requires true skill my friend. Play a tac shooter and you'll see why

                    • C’mon, I hate stasis but you’re just being a cry baby. I don’t even use stasis because it doesn’t interest me, but I have little problem. Careful around corners, use your brain a little more in engaging, and be more aware of your surroundings and opponent playstyles. Center screen and click is still the same old thing. Just stop holding W and think about how you fight

                    • Only thing I would like them to do is either make supers like thunder clash immune for a short duration while super is in use or let us unfreeze slightly faster then someone who isnt in their super. Other than that, nothin in destiny requires skills lol. Our abilities alone with or without stasis is easy mode on it's on. You guys cry too much

                    • Nothing in Destiny is really skillful if you look at it. It's a fanasty looter game with abilities. It'll never be a Esport competitive game. Shotguns, fusions, aimbot sniper..etc choose your spam. Forsaken days was the fun times for me and now it's something else....lol.

                    • I think supers ruined Gun play long before Stasis did. I just accept I'm going to get pummeled every game, and when Mayhem comes around I take advantage of bounties and quests.
