Warlock stasis nerf is way over the top.

Changes would have been fine fine, nerfing every part of a new kit and leaving the other classes untouched is not good balance.

  • I’m really sick of this...any time a class starts to go toe to toe with Titans in crucible they get nerfed to oblivion and it completely ruins them in PVE. I stopped playing after the nerf and I don’t know if I’m going back, why continue to pay for things when they’re just going to ruin them a week later?

      • Uh, no. The super lasts way too long, the Shatter attack did so much damage while not being frozen, and the freeze attack can encase multiple Guardians at once. Ya know, this reminds me of when EVERYONE cried about the Sunbreaker super in the Taken King DLC calling it "OP" and "Game Breaking". Well we're going to tell you what you told us: GET OVER IT!

      • i agree with you 1000% these changes hurt every stasis class hunters cant even kill wit their super anymore because the freeze is too short nice job bungo warlocks took a huge hit but it affected every other stasis class and last i remember the whole point of stasis was freeze then kill it was and i quote "supposed to change how you play" and it did and now everyone is whining

        • I just dont get why it had to be so extreme. slow it down a little, take a few seconds off the super, you gotta aim the dang wand melee for it to hit them because of no tracking. The freeze should be halved not cut 2/3rds. The shatter damage nerf was fine in pvp I'll accept this when you nerf 1 shot shoulder charge at full health and 80 res

Compare this to hunter melee that reaches forever and my health is blinking red when i break out of their freeze, it now feels unbalanced, heavily geared towards hinters (again)

            They could just remove freeze from ALL abilities in the crucible and boom, Stasis would be balanced. Bungie actually has brain deads working for them. This isn't that hard.

          • As far as I'm concerned, good. The Warlock already had the most broken subclass (top tree dawnblade if it's not obvious), then Stasis comes along and out does DB. PvP has been total chaos all week, so until they properly balance Stasis, I'm fine with it being out of play for a while. Also, one class-type doesn't need to universally have all the power.

            • I haved mained a warlock since d1 beta. 90 percent of the crucible are hunters, so anytine they have a class that can counter them, they cry broken. Bungies solution seems prettty heavy handed. How often do you see nova warp in the crucible. Fortunately stasis got her or top dawn was about to get the same treatment. Guess its tine to switch to hunter main. Not my favorite class to play but, at least it will always be viable in pvp.

                  What a disaster of an expansion.... Sunsetting, no vendor refresh, misleading advertising, several things being disabled, uneventful seasonal content, and warlocks getting completely neutered in under a week. 50$. How....

                    Yeah I just logged on and started doing bounties on Europa. They went too far with it. I was enjoying it and now I’m contemplating abandoning using it or moving it forward. They suck the enjoyment out of my load outs with sunsetting (I’m running the exact load out from last season) and now this. Beyond disappointing.

                    • Coldsnap got nerfed across all classes. Same with breakout dmg, so it's not really like every other class was untouched. Now the amount of distance getting nerfed wasn't that necessary imo. 28m might have been too high but 16m is overkill. 20-22m would have been better as it would have given some play with range since they nerfed freeze duration.

                      • You guys are all crazy the melee isn't terrible or anything. It still freezes and kills things. Everyone's acting like it's useless or something. I still wreck people in crucible. I still dominate ads and other guardians in gambit. I still finish strikes in under 3 minutes. If you guys can't handle the nerf then that just means you're bad at the game sorry to say it.

                        • I think the melee needs like 2 more meters cause its just way too short. But other than that I'm happy with the changes. They are very fair.

                          • Ahh we have a warlock main who’s newest win button got nerfed. Big sad. Lol It wasn’t nerfed in to the ground. It’s very obvious all busted ass 1 hit freeze abilities got nerfed. It just so happened that warlocks had 3 (penumbral, cold snap, ice flare) and titans/hunters had 1 (cold snap) so it looks like a warlock nerf.

                                  But when you compare the three stasis classes Warlocks were way over the top. Titans are just a reskinned striker but worse and the melee was super unreliable with extremely poor tracking and damage. Hunters were just a weaker blade barrage with also a crappy melee when compared too warlocks melee. Warlocks needed this nerf. Especially their melee. It was way too strong. It shutdown all supers with no skill. Just a lock on free kill.
