Stasis in PVP is the worst of every meta over 7 years rolled into one.
It’s not going to go away and all the matches revolve around your recharge rates and chucking stasis at each other. This is extraordinarily boring.
Edit: I don’t know what anyone is talking about in respect to what guns anyone is using. I don’t pay attention and I tend to use ARs and scouts. If you are here complaining about previous seasons/years/metas, that is my point with stasis. It is all of that plus whatever the gun meta is.
Edit 2: Because there might be confusion. I am not getting wrecked by Stasis. I play mid range, so I don’t have a lot of direct pain from it.
Edit 3: Thnks Bungie, in less than a month, you created a shotgun/sniper meta. Most mid range guns aren’t capable of taking down a shotgun ape and because of Stasis, it’s either freeze em and charge or snipe from long range. This isn’t a natural meta and it shows.

Is Stasis fun to play [b]WITH[/b]? Yes. Is Stasis fun to play [b]AGAINST[/b]? Hell no it isn't. Playing against Stasis is the most oppressive and unfun thing in a PVP game I've experienced since pre-nerf Patches Pirate Warrior in Hearthstone. If anyone played Hearthstone, Pirate Warrior didn't have the best winrate in the game (but it was still [b]VERY[/b] good), but it was by far the most popular deck in the entire game at the time. When you'd play against it, way more often than not, you were next to helpless to beat it and you'd just wait for your inevitable death. This is exactly what playing against Stasis feels like. I've played in pretty much every meta Destiny 2 has had to offer, and this one is by far the worst. Uriel's in Y1? At least everyone had one and you just had to land your shots. On-release Nova Warp at least felt A TAD more fair since it was a super. And so on and so on.

Its time to change the channel, we've had enough of "the hunter show" triple jump off the screen, drop shot, dodge, repeat in crucible since day 1. Change is good my friends.

1 ReplyThe only issue I really have is grenades and melees being able to lock you in place for very long. Imo they should just have slow effects in PvP. They should also never be able to freeze a super with just a grenade or melee. That's absurd. Now I'm ok with Stasis supers being able to freeze people, just not for very long if they're other supers.

Played a few games last night. What an eye opener. Gone from being an ok pvp player to a bad one. Oh well spose I need to 'get good' again and change my play style. Or not play at all!!

2 RepliesMan and I thought the Titan had one of the most overpowered supers in the game.... I was wrong! At least the titan supers can be countered by the "Bastion" xD the new stasis one for the warlock it can not LOL. This meta needs to go.

Aggressive play is a lot of fun for a lot of players.... frozen... team shooting is pretty hated in this community well range is the new normal as time goes on. Can’t get frozen if you’re out of grenade range. Ability cooldown mods will become very prevalent only exasperating the problem. I can actually see this killing what little remains in the pvp side of the community pretty fast. You can only play around CC before you are frozen and there’s no way to not be frozen except hope your opponent misses

I keep running into people who pre-fire, their health refuses to go down, or this which feels like the Prometheus Lens issue all over again.

1 ReplyPlayed 5 matches. Not stepping back in there until something is done. The weird thing is, I’m actually enjoying gambit right now. Nothing feels overly broken and it seems fairly balanced. It’s sad when gambit is more fun than crucible.
