Yea I said it.
I have basically all the special guns from strikes and gambit (I love Python), and a few from Crucible.
Python is my favorite, a void shotgun that goes perfect with Nez and Devour. Sometimes I wish I had a new one, a new void shotgun just so there is a new gun to use.
I’m ok with saying good bye to it.
That said, if sunsetting is going to be a thing, I feel the grinds shouldn’t be as long.
If we are to let go and look for new guns, the new ones shouldn’t be the most difficult to get.
I’m ok with sunsetting, but please Bungie, just make the future grinds less tedious. They can be long, just not too long.

Sunsetting by itself is not a bad idea. The problem I have as well as many others have is that they will be re introduced into the game. We need newer and better weapons. Original weapons and not reskins upon reskins are the way to go.
-
It doesn't matter what we think sadly .... it's bungies game and I'm sure everyone has noticed by now that bungie will do whatever they want......if they changed their mind about sunsetting they would have said something by now since we are less than a month away from beyond light. Eh I've gotten use to it since I'm stupid enough to continue playing lol.

Weapon sunsetting I can wrap my head around (even then removing mountiantop would have achieved same thing) but armour sunsetting?? No possible justification for that besides adding unnecessary regrinding against r+g for similar rolls and masterworking materials

Im not ok with you being ok.

There, fixed your headline.

10 RepliesI'm not. We're not getting new guns. We're getting the same stuff we had. Sunsetting does little more than keep us in the hamster wheel.
-
The reaction to sunsetting would not have been so volatile if Legendaries were not as important as they are at the moment. Bungie are clearly trying to refocus attention on Exotic gear, which is what they should have done to begin with.
-
2 RepliesWeapons aren’t my issue. It’s armor. Masterworks and armor 2.0 add value in maintaining and upgrading a set of armor. Sun setting makes it to expensive for a temporary boost.
-
I think most people would not be bothered if they had an assurance that there would be weapons as good as what they have now and armour was kept. As an example I have a couple of 1060 side arms and have not seen anything as good in the 1360 pool. It's going to happen so we are all left with the stark choice go with the flow or go play something else. I am a Destiny tragic so I will be going with the flow and hope Europa compensates for the loss! Good gaming to all.

Sunset my Gear, Sunset my Business.

Honestly, i just go with the flow, i will miss using some of the weapons but i can still use them when i feel like it.

3 RepliesAgreed. To those who can manage to get past "Muh Guns!!" I've been trying to explain to them that Sunsetting is just one part of what Bungie needs to do to fix the game. 1. The game needs to be more generous with loot. 2. Bungie can't keep resorting to these long, super-low drop rate grinds in lieu of content. 3. The weapon and progression systems need an overhaul.

5 RepliesSunsetting back when it was weapon retirement. Not bad, annoying but we accepted it. Sunsetting now. Why armour... Just what's the point. Nobody asked or complained Whos asshole did you pull that idea from?
-
4 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 10/18/2020 9:13:17 PMThe problem isn't the idea of sunsetting. It's how Bungie is executing sunsetting. Retiring our guns and then reissuing the exact same guns with the exact same perks is not the way to go. Bungie could at least change their perk pools a little bit. Armor sunsetting in its current form is also bogus. That could've been done better.

2 RepliesSame idk why everyone is taking it so serious

32 RepliesEdited by Seth, Knower of Things: 10/18/2020 10:14:46 PMYeah it’s honestly not that bad. It’s just the people that are against it make it out to be that bad.

1 ReplyI'm all for new stuff. I've had my fun with these toys, give me some new ones.
-
1 ReplyI’ve just kind of accepted that it’s going to happen no matter what I do.
-
It will be fine if bungie makes enough new (not recycled) guns each season to compensate. Of course, this was the same bungie who said making 5 trials weapons and 3 persuit/pinnacle weapons in the same season was too hard. So........
-
1 ReplyI am also okay with it on the condition new guns, that play differently have different looks and perks are the replacement. Giving the same gun but now it has a higher infusible LL is not the way to go. Sunsetting is also not a substitute for sandbox and balance changes. Bungie needs to address outliers performing too well more quickly and separate the changes from PvP and PvE. Finally armor sunsetting doesn’t make sense. However if they do it, MWing armor needs to be a lot less expensive.

I’m ok with Sunsetting ......Luke Smith ! 🤔 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

11 RepliesMy sweet Erentil-Fr4, I’m gonna miss it!

6 RepliesPrepare for all the salty comments....oh wait....too late. IDC about sunsetting...i always use new guns anyway. IDK why people cry about it so much...if they want to use 1 weapons for 5 years then this game isnt for you. People seem to forget that most games have a form of sunsetting. Every year there is a new CoD with basically nothing new and they also dont let you keep guns from the previous game.

I’m not a fan of it, but it’s a reality so that isn’t going to change So I grudgingly accept it
