Ok so I like to play PvP but I am terrible at it. It's not about "gitting gud" etc toxic imo. The reason people complain about SBMM is that the pro's complain because they get matched against other pro players that kick their backsides and would rather be matched against players who aren't very good so they can get their huge kill count and so called cool head shots to upload to their YouTube channel. So imo for a better experience for everyone is that SBMM to remain but have it has an option for everyone then everyone is happy. Game Companies listen to the pro's way to mush and it's unfair to those that enjoy the game but can't have a good time because they're matched to players that are way more experienced at PvP than they are.

Sbmm only belongs in competitive game modes. Stop whining that people are better than you at pvp, you win some you lose some period.

2 RepliesIf you are not good at the game, you will not preform well. It’s amazing how hard that concept is for some people to comprehend.

2 RepliesI just wish they would quit Flip Flopping on this and finally get with the 2015's and have Regional Dedicated Host Servers, just like every other AAA Title (and soem Indies) have had for 5+ years now. If they had Regional Dedicated Host servers we would not even need to mention CBMM and our choice would be Casual or SBMM games.
-
Weird you admit to being horrible then go on to act like you would know why a good player prefers CBMM... How does that even make sense?
-
Imagine being a pro player on your favourite competitive pvp game. Now imagine every game you play is against other people of your skill level. It turns all games into sweaty clan matches for the better players and, imo would destroy pvp.
-
Sbmm is cancer without tiered progression.

I'm like a 1.1 and I'll always prefer CBMM. SBMM works great for comp, but a "quickplay" playlist should always be CBMM to me. I don't understand how people always get matched with such pros that they complain about, when I see one like once every other game at most. The other players that are doing better than me are just that, doing better than me. They don't have to be Mtashed to outgun me lmao.

8 RepliesCBMM 100% Faster loading times Less lag A variety of players

Haha no.

2 Repliesyes lets bring back SBMM

7 RepliesChoice should be good but the CBMM side doesn't like having the option to choose. They want all the lower skilled players to be their prey and choice would stop that.

27 RepliesIt's funny how 90% of all "BriNG BacK SBmM foR uS ScRuBs" posts are always sitting at negative upvotes. So much for having proof of "the majortiy wanting SBMM".
-
Just play the sbmm modes mate, it isn't really that bad.

20 RepliesI like the way it is now. If I want to relax I play control if I want to sweat I have trials and survival. Why don’t you play a SBMM playlist so you can get matched with people at your skill level?

I'm hearing you, but it was a gear shift when first introduced. It's been great practise, to only way to improve is to be challenged. Would be good to have a mix in crucible. There are people who seriously live and breath D2 pvp and take it very seriously that's on them but always going to be someone better than you🤷♂️

Good point. Maybe have an option to turn it on and off would be cool.
No matter how much you say this it doesn't make it true. You can't not play the game then expect it to give you the experience that you demand. This game is definitely not working like it was when they first turned SBMM off. I know for me there's still roughly 60-75% as much dumb as there was with SBMM and they do that for people like you who don't even play or pay attention to anything when they do play. Its starting to get annoying having to play matches where the game is giving me my K/D instead of me being able to earn it when the people who are the reason that it works like that continue to be oblivious to what's even going on. You want Bungie to break my copy of the game because you think they removed SBMM for streamers. That's the world we are currently living in when it comes to PvP. Guess what buddy, the pros have never had a rough time in this game. The game has always been literally programmed to let them run people over. Just the fact that they let people wallow in the ignorance that is the SBMM vs. CBMM argument in the first place is bad enough. But the thing that pisses me off the most is that the changes that you want actually harm average and above average players the most, not the top tier. They are people just like you the only difference is that they put some time into the game and with complaints like this you are going to end up making it so they have to play way more preordained broken mess matches.

5 RepliesMore of this "The only reason good players don't want SBMM is so they can pad their stats" nonsense. That's what it is. Nonsense. Yes, there are some players like that, but they are the minority. Common arguments against strict SBMM include: 1. Poor connection quality in higher skill brackets; 2. Different metas in different skill brackets leading to huge discrepancies between usage data and the actual meta; 3. Makes playing with a significantly higher skilled friend unbearable; 4. Variety in skill within any bracket decreases, meaning running the meta becomes more and more important the better you get, eventually becoming necessary in order to compete; 5. Matchmaking times get really long for players in smaller skill brackets; 6. Doesn't solve the problem of teams stomping. 6 stacks who had a 100% win ratio during CBMM probably had a 100% win ratio during SBMM. If anything, it makes this issue worse because the 6 stacks all get thrown into the top brackets rather the being distributed across the entire population. And there's many more. Now I do think there should be a choice between skill and connection as the primary matching criteria. However, the system would have to evaluate both and not limit on player's potential pool to payers who made the same choice.

It ironic how they tell you to get good cause you want sbmm, full well knowing they will be the ones being preyed on when sbmm since they artificially inflated their stats to where they dont belong. Once sbmm hits they land those inflated behinds in a thorny bush and they get deflated faster than they could boost it, then its them you see here complaining, they want it their way because they dont want the treatment that the lower skilled people are getting om the other side of the spectrum😂😂😂 usually saying yeah but then its not fun (duh obviously losing is not fun) thats why people want to verse people in their own tier to stand a chance grow in skill, close the gap gradually, not verse people that cant hold their own against their own tier but want to flex on lower tiers
-
Agreed. I just do the weekly stuff then forget about this unbalanced shitshow. Some tryhard no-lifer two-shotting everyone with a shitty handcannon from the other side of the map is just not fun.
-
Yes lets listen to a guy who completely passes over the fact that comp is sbmm. No more sbmm ever.
-
Without Cheats streamers are going to have a harder time steamrolling people XD SBMM with CBMM would help to keep pings high but group players into tiers still.
