Why is EDZ gear getting sun set if earth is fine?

cuz bungie is not concerned with making their grind/progression/live-service financial decisions match any lore there's nothing about a battle pass that is consistent with lore either

This is all about Bungle doing as little work as possible while the bulk of their work force grinds away on "Matter", their new IP. While this takes place, they continue to generate income from Density via half baked minuscule DLC, weak Seasonal content and expensive Bling at Everse.

2 RepliesSunsetting is the cheapest and easiest thing to do instead of upgrading their servers. Now the game will run a little better for the new DLC cash grab and then they will slowly reskin and sell us all the sunset content until their outdated servers have severe stability issues “again” then they will start the whole process over again.

13 RepliesKindled is the only hand cannon with Kill clip rampage. No Feelings is the only scout with Box breathing. Seventh seraph handcannon is the ONLY 180 with multi kill clip. That bow from Forsaken is the only one with hip fire grip. Gahlrans right hand is only auto with overflow and demolitionist (works really well with Shinobus Vow). I can go on and on... Sunsetting is just stupid. So is Bungie

5 RepliesI’m pretty sure Bungie gave up on strike exclusive loot a while ago. Plus nightfalls still have high chance to drop exotics and masterwork materials so they’ll still see a lot of player activity within them. That being said, I’m more worried about the moon/alters of sorrow and dreaming city gear. That content would just become wasted space. Capping their gear is going to hurt their replay ability considerably. And it’s not like any of those weapons are on the path to become the next mountain top. I don’t see any problem keeping those weapons around.

1 ReplyMaybe Beyond Light will bring a new more exciting kinetic special GL? I'm only partly ok with sunsetting, and it's the situations like this that I'm not. If you sunset something unique, it needs to be replaced or updated.
