1 ReplyI'd trade access to that entire column of mods for a ghost perk or mod that sucks up glimmer that falls on the ground.
-
How about all mods on the artifact should be available. It's not like we could play with them all at the same time.
-
Agreed, they're just using space that could be used for better and useful mods. When I need glimmer I usually pop up a Rainmaker that last for 4 hours and I'm done. And we also have Spider.
-
Felt the same, it made me feel like they ran out of ideas for mods on the seasonal artifact tbh.
-
2 RepliesShould just replace it with bright dust finder instead. Would love that.
-
Agreed,We already have more than enough ways to get glimmer we don't need mods for it.
-
Agree. There have been times where I am low on glimmer, but I have never thought to take out a mod that actually helps me in the game and replace it with something that gives me a minuscule amount of glimmer. That entire column seems like a waste. Besides there is a consumable that does the same thing, and I can keep all my mods on.

Bungo's idea of adding Mods is to make us weak and useless. So they added Glimmer mods instead. And nowadays, when Bungo makes a Video Game, it comes out as a Magic Card game! Bungie Logic!
-
1 ReplyI do - the Taken glimmer one is awesome, just running prophecy can net you 10,000g easily!
-
Take them out of artifacts and out them back into Ghosts, D1 style
-
1 ReplyKnowing Bungie, they'll nerf all other glimmer sources to make those artifact mods useful.
-
If they had made it bright dust...
-
2 RepliesCan’t remove it because you will log in and play less. Can’t have that.
-
Totally agree, these should be passives in the season pass or ghost mod. Would like to see more game changing mods like we have in the other columns.
-
I incorporated the sword one into my build for a while. Then I realized it doesn't really give much and I'm better off just using actual mods to speed up whatever I'm doing.
-
1 ReplyEdited by JazzBagPipes: 10/15/2020 9:03:06 AMI'd prefer if they just let it keep unlocking more slots past rank 100. If I play the game enough, I should be able to have all the mods accessible at any time without the need to reset the artifact. Resetting is tedious and makes me less likely to keep experimenting with it.
-
Ya there has to be more I teresting stuff they could put there instead.
-
You can always get glimmer from spider plus you’ve got the rainmaker consumable. You can also open chest in the open world or participate in heroic events. It just seems unnecessary, I am sure they’ve got the data to determine if it’s worthless. Or that column may just exist to bloat the artifact.
-
2 RepliesYup, you can just go The Spider to get glimmer.
-
2 RepliesI'd use them. If Spider wasn't selling Glimmer.
-
Please. So lame
-
4 RepliesI think Glimmer mods are a cool idea, but they need to be implemented in some other way. Instead imagine if your ghost had an artifact mod slot for glimmer, it might become a bit more useful. I agree they are garbage now, at least they moved them to the 3rd column so you don't need to buy any of them.
-
1 ReplyThe only time I found myself needing to farm Glimmer was during D1 in that very specific Cabal mission, using one of their faction-specific bonus glimmer consumables. In D2? I have never had a need to farm glimmer for any reason. The mods aren't useful, the consumables rot in my inventory... there's a lot of ultimately useless/unneeded options just taking up inventory and programming space.

Edited by Atreuss: 10/15/2020 4:52:24 AMAgreed and the fact a whole row is dedicated to them is even more dumb. They could make one that is just enemies drop glimmer and make more useful mods. Catalyst drop increase, chance of a core, prism or ascendant shard drop from higher level enemies? I mean something besides five glimmer mods.
-
4 RepliesRemove glimmer. It's just another farm gate.
-
probably spend more to equip them than actually gaining from them
