Per the TWAB - Taken, Hive, and Fallen mods are either being significantly restricted or going away entirely. Do you know how long it took for me and so many others to farm these?! Bungie, your devs are proving more and more that they do not value our time spent on the game. I’m really considering just not playing the game anymore. Shitty news like this just further adds to the firestorm of what Destiny has become under your watch!

1 ReplyHow about armaments just aren’t active in gambit. Problem solved. People won’t be getting endless heavy ammo in gambit and armaments won’t be taken away or restricted.
-
2 RepliesHate to agree with bungie, but.....Armament mods are game breaking, bungie had to reduce heavy drops because of it, which means if you don’t have a armaments mod you’re SOL for longer phase’s because the heavy drop is reduced for armaments. Gambit might actually be playable, pinnacle activities won’t be so reliant on having them in your build, which means you have a extra mod slot for a charged with light or warmind cell build(both of which are way more fun and engaging then just getting heavy ammo) the only thing I’m sad about is the taken spec weapon mod, and the taken repurposing.

1 ReplyI'm convinced the only people that are commenting that this is a good idea are the people that don't have the mods or don't play the game. Bungie, to be playing this game and grinding end-game content just to have these taken away is a slap in the face. I was doing nightmare hunts the other day and after three runs my friend and I had only one brick of heavy drop between the two of us. WTF. Barrier, armaments and the others were amazing in high difficulty end game content and game people a reason to farm. The only reason I did the raids at the end of this season was to farm garden armor for the hive mod slots and scourge armor for the fallen/taken slots. Now all that was pointless. Bungie, you're taking away a big piece of the reason people raid and making the armor pointless unless you just love raiding everyday. Which who does or has the time. The weapons are really the only point to the raids and even they don't have anything unique about them to make them worth grinding. Seriously, WTF Bungie...

Edited by wetterhoser: 10/10/2020 4:00:55 AMI guess alot of people love being red screened or one shot killed everytime they peek to shoot in difficult content. You folks are getting what you want.

26 RepliesEdited by GHOST 9o5: 10/9/2020 11:24:13 PMYeesh, this entitlement blinding players to reasons why it's good that these things are going is baffling. Gambit finally won't be a mess. Well, at least not as much of a mess. And raid and dungeon encounters will no longer be entirely designed around knowing that players will always have heavy up to deal with enemies and that players have a permanent 20% damage reduction buff. The game will finally have some difficulty that isn't related to just knowing and figuring out the mechanics by heart - mobs being threatening is exactly what challenges in Destiny need. No more dying purely to wipe mechanics because someone forgot something. Next, we should work on getting Well of Radiance out of the game, getting add clear supers buffed to be viable in challenging content, and maybe some other things.

No reason to remove them from PvE content. The whole point of the game is to build the most powerful character possible. Just removing them from Gambit seems like the logical thing to do. It's not like the mods were super easy to acquire...smh

37 RepliesDID BUNGIE seriously just... list...GAMBIT .....FRIGGGGING GAMBIT.. As the reason they're shit canning these HIVE/TAKEN/FALLEN MODS I grinded my asssssssss of to AQUIRE?? SERIOUSLY? They are honestly doing this shit with Worlds first in mind... News flash CHEATERS ARE GONNA RUIN THAT. I'm sorry if im coming off pissed - but i AM. I use these mods in GMs- After the first couple months of this game let's be honest. IT'S BORING AS -blam!- - so when all my friends are gone- i enjoy solo'ing masters/ gm's.. And i have gone to a shit load of trouble to acquire the armor pieces, the mods, spent a lot of time crafting combinations of different mods/ perks. I enjoy it as do a lot of people. No offense but most of us could give a crap less if Gambit is balanced!! Nor do i give a -blam!- if world's first race if -blam!-ing affected . Yes im salty but i have sunk a lot of time into this. It's a very small piece of the game that was enjoyable. Perfectly honest- ALL OTHER MODS ARE GARBAGE. I mean garbage. warmind cells- there's so few weapons that actually spawn them. Besides high energy fire NOBODY USES charge with light mods. THEYRE ALL TRASH. nobody uses them. sorry - If people are think Taken Perpetuation/ Invigoration/ barrier/ Armaments are so O.P - Don't use them. i personally enjoy them and i think lot of people do as well. Just my 2 cents. Maybe went off a little.

once again this is bungie not respecting the players time...
-
5 RepliesTook me 30 SotP runs to get the fallen ones and you know what I think? Good riddance. These mods DESTROY the heavy economy especially in raids and gambit. If you can’t live without armaments, you shouldn’t have them at all.
-
2 RepliesGood riddance to them....
-
Lesson learned. Don’t bother to ever grind for anything again in Destiny. Bungie straps a stick to your back and dangles a carrot on the end of it. Then after a while decides to pull it back off and eat it in front of you.
-
1 ReplyThis is why Bungie shouldn't listen to formus.

Edited by EARWAK3R: 10/10/2020 6:11:57 PM😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Awwww, poor widdle gwuardian, did uncle bungie take away your toys. Quit then. You have a bad attitude anyway.
-
sunsetting is teasing players with denying all the effort they have done now bungie want to restrict armaments they totally having this game in THEIR way!! not for PLAYERS said you can farm this now and the banned it just after you spend fk so many times on it that is ridiculous
-
Why these mods and armor, if it only works there ??? They are also not needed there, well, one or two, but this is almost never used because of switching laziness))) And by the way, about the fact that they like feedback from garden armor - how would they also use only one (out of 5 like), but in all slots (except for exotic of course) why is it better than other raid mods? that they will not succeed anywhere except the raid ?? Well, class. There are only a couple of places in the garden where this mod solves something. the general opinion for unnecessary armor reasons - something new is going beautifully, rebalancing/change is normal, but when “we take the opportunity, otherwise we are too lazy to count the numbers” ... They already do a lot in the game world, and in return give an unequal number of in, now also fashion. Well, I'm so sad, once again ...

You just got an upvote
-
5 RepliesBungie briefly gives, and then they abruptly and severely taketh away!! Honestly - Sorry for those that worked so hard for these mods. Luke Smith strikes again!
-
Agreed
-
there not going there just being restricted to the raids you get them in so there useless outside of those raids
-
3 RepliesYou'll be okay and you'll adapt. Those mods needed to be removed from the game. The game overall needs to be more difficult. Armaments made certain content a joke. Now you can rely on creating a loadout that has Ammo finders and Scavengers.
-
I agree that many players have spent a ton of time to get armaments but it has made the game easy. When you can get max ammo and full super at the beginning of most encounters in raids but continue to get unlimited heavy, its insane. Time to make the game a bit more challenging.
-
They are busted, I say good riddance!
-
10 RepliesEdited by Wes: 10/9/2020 10:31:22 PMNope. The mods need to go away. They can single handedly turn any piece of challenge into a complete joke.
-
Nice, they were lame in Gambit anyways.
-
These mods broke the game. They had to go. Let's get NEW stuff and use it, and stop clinging to old stuff.
-
I’m honestly glad they are removing it as a way to balance how ammo is obtained in the first place but they definitely should have told us this months before. People worked their asses off for these mods for the past few months maybe even seasons. So I do sympathize with the people who are upset. And tbh the armaments mods are the only ones that need to go. The damage reduction mods on certain factions should stay they aren’t as game breaking as the armaments mods.
