So... are Scouts getting a PvE buff in Beyond Light?
Just curious.
I'd love to be able to run scouts in endgame PvE again, just like in the Destiny 1 days.

4 RepliesUnlikely. Unless Bungie gets rid of this notion that everyone needs to fight at mid-range, and therefore scout rifles and snipers need to be kept underpowered in PVE. I don't know why Bungie does this. This need to micro-manage play to such an extent that whole weapon classes are basically useless. And right now any scout rifle without damage perks and damage mods are useless in PVE play.

4 RepliesGarbage nerfed weapons and shitty gear is one of the main reasons I returned to playing Destiny 1 as my fun time waster after hard work. There is no reason to play Destiny 2 any longer. All seasons and “content” bungie selling to us are cheap and fake + as mentioned weapons sucks hard.

I'm pretty sure hand cannons are getting a buff. But polaris lance would be fun to use again.

8 Repliesgive every scout the basics randy's had and they'll get more spotlight time. The high RPM made me actually wanna use Randy's more because it didn't feel slow and garbage. Tellin you peeps. If they buff the RPM and increase the dmg just a little. Scouts might make a worthy comeback.

We ca only hope all scouts get a 30% PvE buff. And high impact HC's too...30% PvE buff. Also rocket launchers. And most importantly...merciless needs a buff.

6 RepliesThey probably won't buff scouts. They undid the buff to snipers they implemented in SK. Their reasoning was that too many players were "staying back" and "playing it safe" in end game activities. Buffing scouts would undo that forced meta shift. Shitty logic, I know. Besides that, they are unwilling or unable to separate pvp and pve sandboxes and you would have a whole other segment of the pvp population pissing and moaning about scouts in the crucible.

They don't need buffed. Scouts kill things from far away with minimum risk. I used a scout with eriana in GMs for conqueror title last season. They don't need the same TTK as hand cannons with unlimited range.

Earliest we may find out about that is in this week’s TWAB, but it could be any TWAB this month. I hope they get a buff too, they aren’t very fun or effective.

Though, Bungie has been stalling and waiting to talk about sandbox changes - you know, the super important stuff that shapes entire metas. Not a good look. Here's to hoping though. I remember the good ol' days when a high impact scout could one-hit a lot of trash mobs in D1.
