Hey Bungo!
With these facial changes, will we be able to re-customize our characters? I chose a combination of colors, faces, etc. because of the texture and coloring issues and I’d like to be able to change my character to something I like more with the new system in place. I’m sure many others would love this opportunity as well. Thanks and have an amazing day!
- Your pal, Darkness :)
Edit: Cozmo replied to a similar post that is on Reddit I believe. He says no promises, but the team is aware that we’d like a barber shop like customization system where we can go back a remake our characters.

jut searching this back to old thigns and i honestly wish this had happened and had better customization options especially since they won't let it be Destiny 3 anytime soon

Edited by BudweisXur: 9/28/2020 6:34:50 AMHeres what you're not seeing. These changes where recommend by bungies 'diversity team'. A word that terrifies businesses now. I don't expect much change to what we have now, maybe adding more ethnic choices and maybe they'll add like Google do, male, female, or prefer not to say. It's also very unlikely we'll be able to change our appearance because they said your current guardians appearance may change a little, but never said you can change it.

Don’t get your hopes up. In the case of my Hunter, I’m expecting the EMO to be turnt up to 11.

I would love to re-customize my character, she kind of looks like me but i want to make it more accurate. especially the hair, would be so much better than what i have already. i am curious to see what they are going to do.

I agree and would like to know too. It is part of a list of things that could potentially convince me to continue playing come November. When I made my characters years ago, I used what was there and assumed it would not lock my appearance for the remainder of my Guardian's existence. Also, while I appreciate some of the changes directed toward old issues, the community at large has been asking for this and other things for 6+ years now. Why does it take until Destiny is in its twilight to get such QoL updates? I can't help but think these are "smoke and mirror" distractions for other problems. It is hard to not be cynical after everything that has transpired with Destiny thus far.

Bungie should add more black facial fixtures and textures to the creation of your character, we need more diversity.

If my Guardians face gets changed to something I dont like, I should be able to change it

What I honestly hope happens is that they add sliders and stuff just so in general we can make edits and look more unique than we can now. I wish they would also add more face and hair and make up options as well as hair colors to allow us to do like two tone hairs/faded colors in the hair. I just feel they need to really work hard and give us a proper good amount of options and stuff to justify this change of just suddenly their changes are across the board made and we have to be okay with it. That is not how it should work honestly, I know the community has asked for change a lot in terms of character customization, but they should not just do it cause of controversies but of a actual desire to make it a more diverse system to allow us to make the Guardians we envision ourselves as without being so restricted and carbon copies of one another. We are not carbon copies in IRL so why be them in the game if they really want to make it more diverse give us more options and tools to make them as unique as we want.

Please make all the hair available for everyone except exos... Gives exos the ability to have up to 3 face attachments with new ones added... More hair styles, skin colors, eye colors, face paint, stuff, breads, piercings and metal colors like silver and gold... More preview options like face animation previews and rotating/zoom in and out of the player module... Pretty please with a carry on top.

3 RepliesBased on what they said yesterday, there should be a greater level of customization (eventually) for people who are making NEW characters.. Its not clear how much of this will translate to being able to change how existing characters look. For existing characters----for now----I think they just went back and changed the facial system so that there is a more ethnically diverse array of faces. Because, when the game launched, the selection of faces that were available were overwhelmingly Caucasian. So it sounds like they went back to fix that oversight.

2 RepliesAfter six years I wasn't happy to hear that my guardians looks are gonna change. This is literally the only thing that's carried over and now its getting changed whether you want it or not.

Something that I wanted it to happen since D1.

I believe what's his face director (keep forgetting his name) said we will be able to one day.
-
I believe there will be an option to edit your character, on the TWAB it did not say anything about only when creating a new character. Hope this helps :)

1 ReplyThey said it will come later. Haven't said a thing about that at launch.
