Stop with the effing shaders with umbral engrams.

4 RepliesThe problem is that they clog up the postmaster. Geez. With the Exodous engrams we are getting crappy year 1 shaders everytime that get bumped to the postmaster, why? Because it is a pain in the ass to keep having to delete shaders from inventory, which means it is always full, which means the crappy shaders from year 1 that I don't keep on hand, go to the postmaster, which means anything important that might have dropped while I am doing weeklies, has the potential to get bumped... BY A YEAR 1 CRAPPY SHADER. Do you all think this is reasonable? Do you think the OP is just whining? It's a shitty design. Just like most of the inventory system.

How about "No!" If you're smart you use them for legendary shards and glimmer. I have the shades I like and just like the engrams I delete the resulting shader/armor/weapon if I don't like it or need it. Summer is all about getting your shards back up for the incoming DLC.

Wouldn't be a problem if you could dismantle them all in one go instead of 5 or none. I have shader sitting in my inventory that have 4 and i have to shard them one by one, come on bungie please if i really want to keep it i wouldn't even shard it.

Not sure how they came up with this idea even. Hmmm how can we make these engrams more rewarding? I know green shaders! Like 15 different ones. Equally annoying as deleting blues constantly. Just give us the materials, it's not fun spending 10 minutes managing inventory every time I play. Don't blame the people who let their postmaster overflow one bit. I'm here to shoot future guns at space aliens bungo.

I never use shaders, since I am still leveling up. What’s the point in applying one to just discard it on the next highest piece of gear. Besides, most of the armor and shaders look terrible.

Shaders are just a bonus, not the actual drop.

It's free materials. There are only about 10 different shaders that drop from umbrals. Protip: make space in your shader inventory for those 10 shaders and stop losing your mind over it for the rest of the season. Bulk delete them with the Cryptarch in November. Life is hard.
