You ever get offended by a music/video recommendation from <insert any algorithm>?
A song from The Weeknd started playing on Pandora, and my first reaction was of offense, as though Pandora thought so low of me to think I would want to hear that. I know it’s a ridiculous reaction, but I wonder if other people feel that as well.

Yeah, that's a pretty ridiculous reaction. The Weeknd has some decent songs, namely Wicked Games.

Offended is too mild a term. It's just spyware trying to sell stuff to me. It's a reminder that big business is always watching and tracking and saving my data.

I rarely get offended by music, can’t think of one song actually, but I find it funny how often YouTube adverts are songs with the n word repeatedly sung, even tho I don’t watch any videos or music that would be related to that 🤣

I've probably found some really great bands from Spotify's autoplay feature. I wouldn't know, because every time it happens I'm too angry that it stopped playing my playlist to care.

Maybe the Pandora music algorithm knows you better than you know yourself. Maybe it knows subconsciously deep down inside you actually LOVE The Weeknd.
