Imagine having the audacity to have a game mode called competitive. Imagine having to floss near a corner to avoid getting sniped. This has gone too far.
Now that being said I'd consider myself a "top" player. I peaked this season solo top 700 on pc in destinytracker comp mmr. Does that make me a good player probably not. I had a few games where in a round there would be a single kill that happened. No one could push against 3rd person peaking snipers.
All I ask remove emotes from pvp. Remove sword peaking. And apparently fix warlock rift cancel.
Everyone who is saying that this has been around since d1 and should not be removed. In my recollection I don't remember it being used as much. We were much worse in destiny 1. We didn't have competitive. We only had trials. Destiny has evolved so much overall as a game and a community. Having to floss around a wall in a competitive game sounds so ridiculous to me.
If you do not want to listen to me listen to some respectable people in the destiny community:

Bungie stop catering to casual players in a game mode where the title is competitive. Please.

That is a fact. That shit needs to go. Everyone disagreeing has a bad case of the small-brain.

2 RepliesThis game cant really be competitive with its random rolled weapons, different classes/supers and abilities. Match making is also a complete joke, in comp or trials you can have mike tyson in his prime going against a high school light weight, there is no good division or rank system. So destiny competitive is a complete absurdity.

Agree fps game with fking radar shouldnt have 3rd person especially on pc with 105 fov

1 ReplyImagine being so butt-hurt about people using emotes and swords (things that everyone can use) that you have to run here and complain. I don't play trials - have not cared since Trials of the Nine was removed way back when. But honestly people - this is a video game. People doing things that give them an edge without hacking or modifying something is basic strategic formulation 101. You personally not liking it because you have suffered a loss or whatever is a stupid reason to complain and demand it be removed. It is damn near infantile TBH.

lol at the number of people in the replies defending it. Not only is the game beyond help but the community is too
-
Disable emotes and lock loadouts.
-
1 Replystop sitting at the end of the map with a sniper .... and people wouldnt have to emote and see yo azz hardscoping bud.
-
2 RepliesWho cares, just get better
-
1 ReplyNah it was used a lot in D1. Don’t see why people have an issue with this, it’s been happening forever, but let some streamers complain and all the sudden it’s a big issue when it never was before. Just another thing to blame for getting killed in a video game.

5 RepliesDownvoted and muted....get a life loser. Cammycakes is a skinhead and you listen to him? Get out of here

*peeking
why can't people spell basic words?
11 RepliesEmote peeking is not the problem. Snipers are the problem.

1 ReplyEdited by WulfPak666: 7/17/2020 3:05:26 PMDid anyone else find it hilarious that people have been complaining hardcore about 3Peaking for nearly 6 months now and then Bungie gives use Ruinous Effigy that literally spawns balls that let you 3Peak with a shield and a 1hk melee in PvP?? 😂🤣
-
Thanks, did not know of the rift cancel!
-
Keep eyes the radars I know the crucible is so bad compared halo PvP
-
4 RepliesThanks, that joke is really good, where the title is competitve. League is competitive, CS is competitive, Overwatch is competitive, Fortnite is competitive, even Halo 5 is more competitive than Destiny. Wake up mate, Destiny isnt competitive.
-
1 ReplyIts only an issue if you are playing in a style to get shot. if its a wide open area, then dont be dumb enough to push that. 3 peek doesmt work if you rotate your push and flank. keep movin, keep movin, keep movin.
-
4 RepliesEmoting shouldn’t leave, just have you be locked into the full animation once you start. As for swords, make them first person unless you have ammo.
-
Ppl have been doing this since forever but recently some youtubers are crying about it, even though they did it themselves. It's hilarious. 🍿
-
While 3rd person peeking seems like an advantage, I’d say if anyone can do it then it should be allowed. It should not be banned because other people choose not to use it.
-
5 RepliesIt's a risk though. Someone could easily come around and get a free kill bc you're emoting, or peeking with a close range sword that may or may not have ammo.

Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
The mode is called Competitive but they’d be as well calling it snipeyslideyshootshoot. Destiny 2 isn’t a competitive game. -
7 RepliesIf peeking was a thing in d1 I never heard people talk about it. People were too busy screaming about thorn, icebreaker, shotguns, special ammo to whine about peeking though so they probably didn’t have time to scream about that too.
-
It doesn't bother me all that much.
-
Make swords first person when you have no ammo. Only allow emotes after the round has ended.

Getting rid of corner peeking just gives another advantage to using snipers in PvP. Bad idea.
