Is it really that hard to come up with new Iron Banner Armor?
Look Bungie, this is the 4th season out of 11 that you brought back and reprised old Iron Banner armor.
I probably misheard and I need to get my facts straight on this, but I thought you were going to release New armor with originally geometry and unique features. Dont know if that was meant for next season, but come on.
On top of that, we have only recieved 1 new weapon (Point of the Stag) for IB since Forsaken. Thats about to be 2 years ago
Season of the Undying was the last season we trully got new Iron Banner armor. Let that sink in for a moment.
Is there no way to plan ahead for future seasons to design new armor for this event. For example, get working on future armor this season so that in season 12 or 13 it would be ready by then?
And also, why not bring back D1 Iron Banner sets since you guys love bringing back sets from the past. I bet the TTK armor set would be well received.
Im pretty pasionate about this. I seem to be one of the few individuals who still likes playing IB, and saw Iron Banner as a cool crucible community event and see players come together to earn some good looking armor and weapons. Kinda like Splatfests from Splatoon for those who had the chance to participate in that. You get a feeling like your in a state fair or something like that.
Thats what it used to be at least, not anymore. It hurts seeing Iron Banner digging its own grave more and more with each season.
Will I still play it, of course. But really its getting old re earning armor we had already gotten in the past, for 3 seasons in a row and for the 4th season in total...
Makes it feel even worse knowing that true transmog is coming in later seasons

Iron Banner was originally the end game for PvP players and a way to earn the highest lvl gear outside of raids. In D1 the iron banner gear was some of the best PvP gear in the game, now it's just a monthly letdown. They've really neglected iron banner in D2 and it's sad.

They’ve been treading water for the last year and putting all their efforts into new gear/armor for Beyond Light.... at least, that’s what I been telling myself.

I don’t understand why everyone is surprised Bungie can’t make new content, they haven’t made any but once since the Taken King and that was Forsaken. Everything we have is either old D1 stuff or reshuffled stuff from last year. I don’t believe they have enough talent without Activision and there 2 studios to come up with anything new. Might just be time to move on 🤷♂️🙄

This is the laziest, worst running, redundant game I have ever played, if it were completely free that would be one thing, but of course it isn't. I just paid 15 bucks for the new Borderlands 3 dlc and it is glorious. You can always tell when someone gives a shit about what they are doing. Imagine the movie The Good, The Bad, The Weird combined with the show Firefly. Its an old spaghetti western, with a samurai theme set in a sci-fi dystopia, and guess what? All new gear that comes with it. Imagine caring enough to put new loot in you're new dlc! What a concept! Stop supporting Bungie with you're time and money, until they go broke they wont change.

Reusing content is this companies main goal, less work but still getting paid. This is how intelligent they actually are when it comes to "listening" to the feedback... 1. We asked for things to be more meaningful. What does this company do with that, they turn this game into one huge grind with barely anything to show for it. 2. We asked them to create content to keep us engaged. What does this company do, create activities that require you to run numerous bounties each season as if bounties are the only thing this game is about. 3. We tell them we liked certain activities. What do they do, take the worst part of it, and apply it to other activities or make a public event thinking throwing a ball "is fun". 4. We asked them to create new weapons for an activity. What does this company do, they add 1 weapon if we are lucky every other season and praise themselves for doing such a good job. What I'm getting at, it's pointless asking this company for anything unless it's the majority of the player base complaining like the stupid Bunkers that they still screwed up on pretending "majority" of the player base was enjoying the second half of last season and joined together in harmony. The truth is, they can care less what anyone wants. Hell, it took them almost 5 years just to give hunters what they asked for, and that was just to see their entire cloak. Let that sink in for a moment.

5 RepliesRemember when we would get all new weapons and armor from EVERYWHWRE every 3.5 months in D1?? New iron banner weapons And armor every dlc. Then at the very end they reissued all of the old iron banner stuff and it was super cool. What happened?

It's just getting people conditioned to how sunsetting will be going forward, you know, grinding for reissued gear in place of new loot. Gear is already being reissued this season with a higher power cap than the versions destined for sunsetting, and sunsetting hasn't even been completely implemented yet. :(

We haven't gotten new iron banner armor this entire year the iron will was a slight reskin of the current seasons armor. If a small reskin is all you can do do it for every season
