A game is supposed to be fun to play. I understand that the pinnacle grind is supposed to be hard, but the way it's going this season, it's just ridiculous. I thought last season was just bad, made a bad call and pre-ordered Beyond Light thinking things would improve. Boy was I wrong. This week I got 6 pinnacle greaves in a row. What kind of sick sadistic (insert appropriate expletive) programmed the game?
I'm sorry, I cannot continue to give money to a such sick sadistic (insert appropriate expletive) company.
Thankfully I pre-ordered Beyond Light thru steam which give refunds.
I urge Guardians with similar experience to follow suit, give Bungie a wake up call.

11 RepliesI don't feel bad for anyone that pre-orders. If you guys haven't learned by now you deserve what you get.
-
6 RepliesNo offense, but it seems like you are rage quitting over bad rng.

Edited by MonsterHouse24: 6/28/2020 10:45:34 PMAfter the Season of the relentless, mind numbing worthless grind, losing the catalyst for the match book with 4 points to go and now you're going to cap not just weapons but armour which is sodding expensive to masterwork you some how expect to keep players? Good luck with that. And whose bright idea was it to remove match making from Crucible so we could have seconds of fun being wiped at the spawn point by sweats trying to do mandatory Crucible quests. Bye

Who cares about pinnacles? What do you need them for? Absolutely nothing. Pinnacles aren't replayability; the things that are supposed to give us replayability, are terrible - we should want those things fixed first. The crucible is shit. Strikes are meaningless. Gambit is shit. We have public event v7.0 and bounties ... again ... meanwhile they send out daily emails begging for pre-orders lol.
-
3 RepliesYup, DO NOT pre-order. We all should know by now, they hype it up with a cool trailer and supposed new content. Anyone can take a pile of shite, throw it in the air and call it sunshine, but Bungie has mastered it.
-
7 RepliesI permanently quit when they announced sunsetting.

1 ReplySee you next expansion

the obligatory sorry but not sorry post .

1 ReplyLook to all the whiners here saying we are mad cause were not at pinnacle level yet. I'm mad that i did pinnacles yesterday and only ever saw weapons. I don't mind a dupe here or there but almost all the pinnacles is a joke... And then you do a gos challenge thats already hard enough for some here and the challenge chest gives the exact same drop as the normal drop? And mind you i've seen that challenge chest drop identical loot somany times now.

You’re quitting over bad Rng? You wanna here some worse RNG? Took me 2 YEARS to get my Crux of Crota to drop just so I can acquire my yr 1 necrochasm. So when I see this, I think it’s kinda petty to complain about bad RNG when it’s really not that bad.
-
21 RepliesHi, I'm this companies #1 fan, they can do no wrong. This is the best game I have ever played in my life and I play 10 to 15 hrs a day because this is my life. I love the duplicate drops because it gives me a hell of a lot more time to play the game looking for what I'm hoping to get, hopefully, I never get the drop I'm looking for because I wouldn't know what to do with my life.

1 ReplyIm not buying beyond light. I cant support this game any longer. Ill play while i can. Its become trash. I have mobile games that give its player base more free stuff than bungie has ever thought. Cant even give us SRL thats been requested constantly. Bungie is out of touch with its fans.
-
Fun? I thought this was my job. You mean I'm supposed to be having fun? Shit I'm gonna to play Cod.
-
1 ReplyIn September, I'll be playing Avengers. Everyday Destiny and I slip further and further apart.
-
I went afk after season of the drifter and only came back 2 weeks and now I'm bored again. Cant wait till cp2077 and avengers
-
1 ReplyBungie will never wake up. They are a bunch of blamsuckers.
-
Yeah same. Except that's how random drops work so I accepted it and moved on with my life instead of crying about it on an internet forum.
-
All output randomness on games around loot should just be made illegal. Their only purpose is exploiting cognitive biases to artificially pump up play time.
-
All I got left is the grind. I swear, if I got some pinnacle reward in a loot drop . . . I’d probably dismantle it, not knowing what to do with myself.
-
Just the same thing I was gonna mention, the so called bs known as rng. Is bungies sick way of keeping us grinding. All this stuff is carefully developed by a team of psychologist on bungies pay role, bungies more like an evil corporation than a AAA games developer. For any one not believing that bungie is capable of psychologically minipulating there player base, research the Internet for yourself you'll be suprised how many AAA developers actually consult psychologists. Once found a early video of the guy that hosts fire team chat on YouTube, exposing destiny's for dabbling with psychology, surprise, suprise now he host the destiny show IGN's fire team chat.

Sorry kiddies, after reading the contents of this thread and it’s subsequent replies, I’m really going to ruin your day. There is NO Santa Clause. There is NO “RNG”. As in, random number generator. It’s simply a computer program doing EXACTLY what it was programmed to do. Rigged Number Generator is a much more appropriate term when considering the source. Here Endeth The Lesson. 🧐

Never Pre-Order🤔

1 ReplyI was arguably Bungie’s biggest fan, enjoying D2 for what it was (flawed) and the potential that it showed. To put that in perspective: I have been consistently played a Bungie title since 1997. I still play a Bungie title from 1997. Whatever Bungie was doing, it was working for me. However, I had been growing increasingly frustrated with the D2 product they were putting out. From bounties to economies, from blue gear to matchmaking, from increasingly shoddy connectivity and an increase in error messages... it was becoming death by a thousand cuts. And then they started this whole transition to F2P, sunsetting, and DCV. That was the anvil yo end my fun. Around the time they launched the Moon towers I just couldn’t bring myself to load into the tower, or even direct to a destination anymore. Whatever they’re cooking up, I no longer like the taste. I’m out until further notice... wish them well, I hope they right the ship, but I’m not dropping a dime on this for the foreseeable future.

Yeah, idc who you are... but buying Beyond Light is against your own best interest. No other game would have you pay them to remove content that was paid for, artificially neuter the gear your love, just to offer you a little bit of new and a lot of recycled content. If Beyond Light were a stand alone game (a clone) you could buy separate from D2:Shadowkeep, then I think it would be worth considering. Find another game after the season bud.
