It would be so easy to update it and provide new weapons. Stuff to grind, hell you could easily change up the encounters as well. It's good content.

apolgy for bad english where were u wen menagerie die i was at house eating dorito when phone ring "Menagerie is kil" "no"
-
Just leave the tribute hall at least. That's all i want to continue to keep, to remember the good times, to show and tell KinderGuardians about a cabal named Calus who wanted us to grow fat from strength and wanted us to be by his side when the universe came to then end. I love of the Levi content and don't want any of it to go. It's the best of destiny 2 really.
-
Calus is leaving the solar system cause reasons? Nessus is staying but Leviathan the ship is going somewhere
-
2 RepliesMenagerie is pretty boring with only a few useful drops and like a 2% chance you get the roll on the weapon/armor piece you want
-
1 ReplyI don’t understand why anything is leaving. I guess the balsa wood servers can’t take it anymore.
-
Might return in next few seasons
-
1 ReplyIf you haven't figured it out yet I'll explain it to you. Menagire is free to play content. Almost everything that is going away is free to play content. Bungie realizes they made a huge mistake making so much of the game free to play so they are going to phase it all out then replace it with new areas like the moon that you can go to but have nothing to do inless you buy the expansion or the season. Everything in the future will be locked out and only avialable to the people who pay for it. They already made it so you can't do nightfall ordeals on difficulties hero or higher inless you have forsaken even if it's a strike from the base version of the game. Nothing they are doing is to free up space, they are simply trying to drive off the free to play players or at least force them to spend money on their shitty game.
-
So they can bring it back with a new loot pool of old guns and slap a $10 price tag on it.

Edited by DiZ: 6/26/2020 1:00:23 AMI can probably guess why. *opens up Twitter* Yup, it's legit...
Calus got cancelled. /s

And no, this is not intended to poke fun of or parody recent "events" that have been happening in both this community and the gaming community at large.
2 RepliesIt would mess up the games storyline since leviathan gets removed 🤣🤣🤣
-
2 RepliesI don’t mind it leaving the game since I don’t even play menagerie anymore but I was seriously hoping to get brand new destinations, im seriously bummed out we are going back to old content from D1. I dont want to do vault of glass for the 1000th time, I really just want new content. New planets and stuff, new weapons to chase. Redoing old stuff and this vaulting crap is a terrible idea
-
Probably because the Levi assets are being removed so a lot of the stuff would become Untextured or bug the game.
-
2 Replieswait what? what else is getting removed from this game? I have seriously no idea. came back after about a year and see this! somebody explain!
-
1 ReplyI'm not. Not yet, anyway.
-
I'm guessing they have a new Menagerie style activity in the works for upcoming seasons.
-
3 RepliesThis vaulting thing is such shit. I’ve never heard of a game having to remove content to free up space so as to add new content. Wtf
-
22 RepliesMenagerie was primarily built by Vicarious Visions, and Bungie hasn't done anything to update it (new events, refreshed Chalice recipes) over the past year. It's also been free to play as part of the New Light experience, so they aren't taking away paid content.
-
Cause bungo is horrendous at managing destiny. absolutely terrible at it. If they were an employee you worked with they would be the one that messes up all the time and annoys everyone.
-
2 RepliesThe content vault will allow it to rotate back into play at some point Making it a little more special when it is around
-
Edited by vitisku1: 6/25/2020 2:34:10 PMI agree it shouldn’t leave. But if they’re removing leviathan to free up disk space then presumably they have to remove all content that utilises Leviathan environmental assets. Which is what Menagerie and Tribute are rendered with. It’s shit, but I understand the technical reason for it.
-
5 RepliesEdited by Crumblyburgers: 6/24/2020 4:35:15 PMYou'll notice they are ditching sections of art assets. If you remove Leviathan but leave menagerie, you retain those art assets, which take up space in the game files. So you ditch it all to allow for more space for new stuff. Which, honestly, is probably why we are losing SoTP but not earth. SoTP has its own group of assets that are different from the EDZ, probably taking up a fair bit of memory.
-
Edited by Corvo: 6/25/2020 2:30:55 PMProbably so they can resell the loot in another activity.
-
1 ReplyBecause Bungie is removing traces of all the fun and actually rewarding content in the game that they didn't actually make
in case you didn't know, the Menagerie was made by Vicarius Visions
-
Cause it is too good and too fun, and Bungie can't allow fun to go on for to long before they remove it.
-
2 RepliesIt's leaving? :(

Edited by EdeTheGod: 6/25/2020 1:04:38 PMDespite myself I really liked Menagerie. The Chalice was great too; unfortunately didn't play much at the time but master-worked at the end of the season. Loot was good and often overlooked - sniper (obviously), shotgun, HC, side-arm and fusion - all viable weapons. Much better than the crazy over levelled public event stuff.
