Buff 140 rpm hand cannons

Since it takes 3 headshots to kill like a 150, it is an almost useless archetype. A proposed buff would be to raise the body shot damage so it kills in 2 head 1 body, which won't boost its ttk but it'll have something over 150's.

  • 100% agree. Also, give hand cannons their range back, if they’re gonna make autos this good then HC’s need some viability to compete.

  • Get real! You already have more op hand canons than any other class in the game. How about buff smg’s , give range back to slow firing fusions. Hand canons can outgun any weapon class in the game. That’s like saying buff slow firing autos and 700 autos to the same ttk as 600’s.

    • I think 140s and 150s should 2 crit 1 body. However. 140s could 4 tap body with more range while 150s still require 5 body.

      • Boost forgiveness and reliability, as per their Archetype’s description, and you have a legitimate choice to make concerning picking 140’s or 150’s

      • All they need is a range increase. Make a max range 140 cap at around 35m and they'll be in a good spot. Same for 110s, make a max range 110 cap around 42m and they'll be in a decent spot as well.

        • While I agree 140’s need a buff. So do all HC’s. Now before you say they’re fine(150’s) it’s my opinion they’re not. The damage falloff is way to severe. Especially in an Auto rifle meta where Autos dominate with a faster ttk and are definitely more forgiving. And given the fact sidearms got a big buff too there’s very little range for HC’s to operate in optimally. No matter the archetype. It’s a shame what Bungie has done to HC’s. They’re in a horrible place right now. 2 of the the 3 archetypes are garbage and the most viable one is outclassed by High impact pulses, Autos and for the most part sidearms. This is all on Console btw. I can’t comment on PC. Hopefully they do get a buff in Beyond Light(or sooner) with the coming of HawkMoon. Because IMO this spray meta sucks azz!

          • If 140 rpm hand cannonss get a damage buff to kill in two headshots and one bodyshot then AoS will two-rap to the head. I'm not against it, but still, be careful what you wish for.

            • I think it would be better if they increased the range by at least 5 meters, reduced incoming flinch, and increased precision damage by 2 or 3. TTK stays the same and it will also be able to kill in 2 crits 1 body to anyone with less than 50 resilience. In the case of Ace of Spades, Memento Mori might need a slight nerf since it crits for 90 damage, roughly 28-29% more damage on crits. Idk if it's a flat 90 or if it's 89.(?) rounded up, but let's say it's a flat 90. If it did 72-73 per crit, MM would crit for 92.16-94.17, or 93-95 as we'd see in game. They'll be able to compete at a slightly longer range. Shots are a bit more consistent due to reduced flinch.

              • There seems to be almost no reason to go for a 140 over a 150 unless you get a god roll. There should be a better trade off for choosing a slower TTK hand cannon. Make the handling, stability, recoil noticeably superior. The 110s are obvious. Harder hitting and more range is the trade off there.
