How about a crucible choice, sbmm or no sbmm on the destination screen?
I am not a very good pvp player, never have been. But I have to play to complete some quests or try for some weopons, Iron Banner. Crucible for me without sbmm is no fun, I went from a 1.0 or so to .2 kd. I am sure it is great fun for the good players to have the less talented players for cannon fodder, but not fun. Probably won't be playing much any more.
So, how about a choice in the destination screen? Choose Control, then choose SBMM or no SBMM.
Makes everybody happy.
Bungie you are gearing the game for the top players, and ruining it for the bottom half of players.
What do ya say?

There already is a choice genius. Some modes have it, some don't. Don't ask to split the playerbase just so you can have a safe space when you play 2 hours a week.

It did exist, the classic mix playlist never had SBMM it was always CBMM

We need a choice in every playlist. Let the players chose if they want SBMM or CBMM

That does exist, except it’s labeled Quickplay or Comp

The only way to get SBMM back is to have your voice heard. Make post on the forum asking for sbmm back. Like all the post that want it back. And stop playing crucible. And tell your friends and have them spread the word. Don't play crucible, Show Bungie how we feel. Boycott crucible tell your friends
