AFK farming is a sad reminder of the large amount of toxic people who play this game.
There is no excuse for this lazy childish behaviour. If you hate the levelling system that bad then go take a break and play another game or go learn a new language instead of letting your ps4 overheat for 12 hours and then letting your mom pay the bill. People are still doing the forges for a number of reasons, i'm trying to get a god roll Dead Man Walking and there is a bunch of braindead people who are doing this glitch without even lowering their light level and some that are are being thrown in with me who is 1060. Its beyond belief. I cant imagine a grown ass man doing this, maybe a 15 year old kid, but not a grown ass adult.

Oh you want us to play how you want? Sure, make sure to pay me exactly how much I’ve already spent on this game and then you can tell me what to do. You telling people not to play the game if they hate leveling? How about, you stop playing the game if you don’t like people afk farming? See? it works both ways. Get over it, leveling is boring. Find yourself a group if its that bad or learn to solo content like Most of us have.

if bungie gave a grindable way to get altered element besides the lame 25 you get from normal bounties then people wouldn't have to afk farm. honestly, why can't we get 50 altered element and an umbral engram from a heroic contact completion? umbrals without the altered element are basically the same as any other legendary drop. bungie design choices are questionable, why not let people grind the seasonal activity for the mats they need instead of limiting the amount they get for the week?

If people are AFK farming and it's affecting other players... they should get kicked, or suspended. If you're AFK farming under 750. You're literally not hurting anyone, and the power level grind is nonsense fake content anyway, so go for it.

Tell Bungie to fix their game instead of being toxic and insulting the players, hypocrite? And besides it’s patched.

It's a sad reminder of how boring the same old grind season after season has become. I don't condone afk farming, and I don't do it, but I understand why it's being done. The people that are satisfied with this mediocrity are the real poison that has infected this community.

15 RepliesWhy make someone else's choice on how to play their game your problem, if their choice affects you in no way at all? Do you go to your neighbors house, kick the door in, and yell at them for reading a book you dont like? What you're REALLY upset about here, is that they have a higher light level than you, and you feel that it wasnt earned. On the other side of things, they feel as though theyve already grinded this out 11 times before, and would prefer to sit back and coast this season instead of having to do chores every day for the FOMO. Bungie falsely boosts their number of players by timegating the seasons by light level. Realistically, if they were to open the locks on everything in a season, it would probably take us 2 weeks to do it all. It's a maze and the rats are supposed to all run it in a certain length of time. And you're upset that some of the rats got to the cheese first. YOU grow up.

Some of us just set it on while we are at work. Not really fun to repeat the same activities we've had for a long time. Especially if we've been doing the power grind since D1. Most of the people, myself included, dropped to below 750 to farm. And I agree with you, and totally understand that there are some dense peeps who just go in above 750, but some of them were also getting banned for being afk. But if you really had such an issue, you should've done an lfg, or gone in with some friends.

I wouldn't say they are toxic but they are what I like to call "low quality gamers". They are the types of people who if they grew up in the 80s or 90s they wouldn't be caught dead playing video game because they were not cool back then. But now that video games are cool and popular you got all these "low quality idiot gamers" that these companies try to pander too and the games suffer big time for it.
