Because they are tied to an exotic weapon, to have them sunset would sunset their exotics as well.

62 RepliesI don’t know why we are punishing all weapons to solve a recluse/mountaintop/revoker problem. Just retire the pinnacles.
-
Nope because drang causes powercreep but exotics dont /s
-
Mida should be sunset
-
14 RepliesNo. If they make exemptions, then I want mountain top, revoker, ect ect ect exempt.
-
Why would they exempt these guns when they can just make you farm again for it ? Enjoy sunsetting !

28 RepliesEdited by Shadow: 6/16/2020 7:33:03 AMI'm more curious to know how many people ACTUALLY use these weapons often. I feel like it's a 'once it's gone I want it' case. Edit: Good to see players are using it. I'm sure there will be a reintroduction to those weapons in later seasons. Shame they aren't excluded from sunsetting in the first place.

13 RepliesHeres a list of quest weapons and other unique weapons that should be exempt Sturm Mini mida Rose Vesbian dynasty Vow Coldfront Avalanche Braytech werewolfe Horror story Braytech RWP (Needs masterwork slot) Redrix broadsword (needs to be able to pull from collections though) Ikelos_HC_10.1 Perfect paradox Class swords Edge transit (for the memes) Any non random roll nightfall loot Man o war And for pinnacles to be turned into exotics and buffed... All of thess are ether exotic quest related, or are rare enough to be wanted Or better yet, dont sunset, theres no point in doing it if they just keep bringing them back

6 RepliesSunsetting doesn't need to happen at all.

Nope, this is where Bungie and I part ways with this expansion; either they have thought of that already, or they haven't and your exotic will become useless. Not risking it, Bun. I'm playing other games now; and I couldn't be happier. Luke; thank you for relegating the mythical status of my favorite weapons to the status of a deck of playing cards; when does the Hearthstone clone come out? you -blam!-ing clown...

I completely agree with drang because you literally can't use sturm's exotic nature without it but did minitool change? I remember it being purely a bonus thing if you used it with multitool.

10 RepliesOr simply cancel Sunsetting.

This is the game of beggars.

They are

They will probably re-release them in a future season and possibly drop them into the general loot pool.

I was thinking about this a few days ago. Sturn and Drang are inextricably combined. To remove Drang is to essentially remove Sturm. There's, imo, no reason to run Sturm w/o Drang. The combination is what makes Sturm an exotic.

3 RepliesAnd any legendary weapon they sold an ornament for.

10 RepliesThey'll have exotic versions.

2 RepliesComing soon Pay silver to remove a power cap on a weapon or armor piece

I actually use minitool when I use Mida as it is one of my main weapons in pvp and gambit
-
I agree.
-
They’ll probably do a season of opulence and rerelease them again and again and again and again......
-
They most likely will be. They have plenty of time to make revisions.
-
I agree, this feels like an oversight with sunsetting which I hope they address.
-
Don't stress. You just need to acquire them at the hight power cap.

I saw someone say somewhere that what they do with Drang and Mini-Tool will show how well they've actually thought sunsetting through. My take is that, in true Bungie fashion, there will be a ton of issues with gear retirement that are gonna be addressed a few weeks into the season and then fixed 2-3 seasons later. Maybe, as long as it's something more severe. If not they'll just ignore it until some system-change in the game makes their mistake irrelevant.

Pass. I'd rather they figure out how to actually redesign the terrible idea that is 2 part weapon bonuses.
