I keep coming back here in hopes that somehow Bungie comes to their senses. I want to play so badly, but I literally can’t tolerate playing with how Bungie insists on moving forward regarding sunsetting. I get something and it immediately feels cheap and like it’s transient. I’m getting new things of old things that I have to re-grind for only to still have it expire. This game has killed any desire I have to progress anything.
Disagree if you want, but for many this is a universal truth.

I'm just praying that by fall bungie will realize sunsetting doesn't work well with the community and that most people are against it. I understand that they're trying to add new weapons to the game that are powerful (like the new swords which are top teir), but they need to find other options I would personally rather they use balance patches to control the meta. Using recluse as an example, they nerfed it so it's still powerful, but not a must have in your load out. It got it's time to shine and now it's just a good weapon. I don't see why that doesn't work

4 RepliesIt’s a real punch in the pp to say the least. The time and effort spent on building the “perfect” load out, masterworking armor and weapons — all going out the window come September. It just doesn’t sit well with me.

2 RepliesSo much people defending Sunsetting is worrisome.

8 RepliesMaybe you should stop wasting your time yelling at the wind then.
-
2 RepliesTo you and everyone else. Sunsetting is happening. They are not changing their minds (atleast for this upcoming year). You can accept it or not. You can leave the game or not. But on September 22nd, sun setting begins.

4 RepliesGood thing it’s only a video game.
-
63 RepliesThat’s why they’re not listening to you. You guys would rather complain than play. The people who are happy/indifferent with the changes are the ones actually playing while you guys cry on the forums. That’s why bungie listens to them. They’re the actual players.

In my 'personal' opinion I have always felt even thought this is my favorite game, is that gear became irrelevant once they took leveling out of the game and made your item rating your quote on quote over all level
-
6 RepliesI 100% agree with you. Sunsetting is the lazy alternative to nerfing. Power level shouldn't be a thing, it's a weirs form of difficulty tiers.
-
1 ReplyHonestly I've just stopped caring, I'll keep playing until cyberpunk comes out but I'm not sinking much effort into this game anymore.
-
3 RepliesBump 👍
-
2 RepliesThat sounds like a you problem.

Sounds like a you problem then...

Perhaps you should just stop playing and coming on the forums. Come back when you feel ready?
Sorry, all out of salt.
I’m with you. Haven’t logged a minute in... since whenever the moon tower opened. And my interest was dwindling up to that point. Now I’m just a grumpy curmudgeon on the forums, decrying what could have been and wondering wtf happened to the developer I followed so faithfully since Myth II. Sad truth is that they’re committed to this. It’s been in the works for longer than we realize and it’s got too much momentum to stop any time soon
-
3 RepliesYou're welcome to play any other MMO where loot becomes irrelevant immediately with the release of the next update, instead of after several updates over the course of a year.
-
In time you get through this terrible ordeal you are going through. Stay strong guardian.
-
3 RepliesSo maybe move on to a different game. Saying ur on the forums more than u play the game is juts weird and kinda sad.
-
3 RepliesI can understand you. This is what happens when your incentive’s f*ed but you still love this universe.
-
12 RepliesSo then why don’t you actually play instead
-
4 RepliesSeems like they are standing firm so get used to it or move onto something else. The only solstice in what's happening is that we have the opportunity to get a lot more loot going forward with the addition of destiny 1 activities.
