Right now I'm looking at this one and I have a couple questions.
Would it be worth it to upgrade the processor?
How many years will the graphics card last?
Is this a good price for what I'll get?

2 RepliesYou couldn’t build that yourself for any less, so I’d say it’s a good value. However, be aware that when you open it up, you probably won’t find a name brand component in the whole thing except the GPU. And even that will likely be a stripped down, bare PCB, version. PC builders like Dell can hit these price points on lower end PCs because they buy in bulk and purchase the cheapest third party components they can get ahold of. So you can get excellent value, but the longevity and reliability of the parts are usually pretty bad. As long as you’re ok with that, then I’d say go for it. First thing I’d do is add some ram.

same but i’m poor as hell

1 ReplyWhen I think of pc gamers, I think of all the other weird stigmas to it like weebs. Console is the more acceptable lifestyle of normal gaming.

Edited by DankPlanks: 6/3/2020 1:00:45 AMMy advice comes on more of a style side. Understand that when it comes to pc you should have a bit of understanding as to what your getting into and be ready for problems. Also beware of the people that are online that are associated with pc gaming. I had a person buy a pc when they are very in tech savvy and very conscious of themselves. So they over paid for what they didn’t want to not get judged and ended up with a paper weight.
”Ah Yes. The negotiator, General Kenobi.”
For the price it's alright, not the most future proof though. An i3 might have trouble in some heavy games or applications (definitely if you are doing both). The 1660 Super is a medium card atm, good for right now but will probably have trouble in future heavy games. RAM is probably ok with an Intel system.

2 RepliesI would recommend building your own at PC Partpicker, but if you do want to purchase that, I would say that the CPU is going to be your biggest bottleneck. I may be wrong, but most games recommend having at least an i5, so if you could replace that you would be in a better spot.

3 RepliesBuild your own instead of buying one that is already made. You'll save money by doing this plus you'll get to know how computers work so if anything messes up, you can fix it yourself.

Would it be worth it to upgrade the processor?
I mean what do you intend to do? What type of games, or content creation?
How many years will the graphics card last?
Depends on how you use it, and at what rate we see further advances.
Is this a good price for what I'll get?
I want to put it into pcpartpicker when I get up. System Integrators usually skimp somewhere. Would do that now but I desperately need sleep.

1 ReplyComponent wise, not too bad. A decent lowish end and the price is definitely right. Dell kind of makes me nervous though.

7 RepliesI am also thinking about getting a PC. Most of my irl friends play on pc so I never get to play with them.
