I’ve been as much as a pvp only player as one can be in all of D2. Recently though pvp has annoyed me so I wanted to look at the other aspects of the game some and holy sh*t there’s probably hundreds of hours of just quests that I can do for PvE activities. Honestly there’s so much I was a bit overwhelmed.
That being said I no longer understand the pve mains saying there’s a lack of content. I havent even touched a raid in D2 and dont even have the season pass but I feel as there is more than enough to keep me busy for a LONG time.

2 RepliesBeen working on solo flawless pit of heresy. Next I’ll do shattered throne. And then complete all the pinnacle quests. And then I might run out of content But yeah, there is a lot of content in D2.
-
1 ReplyOne could say there's several months worth of content. Maybe even 30 months worth. Unlike you however for the past 30 months we've been playing that content so we've seen it and it's not new to us.

The Adventures are kinda underrated imo. Tonnes of lore & some nice locations. Nothing overly taxing but fun & helps fill some of the world lore that isn't immediately obvious if you jus speed through the campaign.

Edited by Asylum: 5/31/2020 3:34:46 PMYou're going to quickly realize that most of that content has 0 replay value unless its an activity that has a specific weapon you're looking for and then it only has replay value until you get what you're looking for. But the problem with that is you're going to be force to replay it anyway. You're going to get so sick of bounties, strikes, public events, and lost sectors you're never going to consider them content even when they're new. Then there's the loot or rather lack there of since 90% of the "loot" is absolutely useless (most blues and legendaries get instantly dismantled, everything under legendary needs to be removed anyway to lower the game size and the game needs to be a 2 tier style, legendaries should be the standard and then exotics) and with sunsetting becoming a thing again for no other reason than pure laziness its just going to get worse and 90% of that content will become completely irrelevant because of it so in truth it could be removed as well unless they update the loot pool to drop only items that will be relevant for the next 5 seasons or so. Nobody is going to grind for something that could be worthless in a month or 2.

There is alot of pve content. But there is no reason to do it which is the main problem. They arent complaining because of lack of content. They are complaining because there is no incentive to play the vast amount of content in the game.
-
2 RepliesThat’s exactly the problem: there is indeed lots of activities but there is no reason to do them. All of the gear from them is being burned basically.
-
Tons of content, but nothing to do. A list of chores everyday is not fun...
-
Theres a lot of stuff and no reason to do most of it

Spank

All the bounties you can handle.

4 RepliesI've done everything possible in this game over and over again. Just because YOU haven't doesn't mean I or many others haven't.

Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink.
-
2 RepliesThere is and with the poor season content and more than usual play time due to quarantine I’ve found myself doing lots of old stuff that I couldn’t be bothered with in the past. Pity a lot of the rewards are going to be useless next season due to sunsetting.
There’s Actually Tons of malContents in this Game
/ftfy

Pve mains do have a severe lack of content. After the initial level rush of the season, the main and only activity has been a variation of bounty farming. Coming into pve after a bit (especially if you didn't do any forsaken stuff) will yield you quite a bit to do, but now that we've gone to the seasonal model that won't really be the case anymore.

3 RepliesEdited by Swiftlock: 5/30/2020 3:46:48 PMQuantity does not equal quality. After you knock out the main story missions and try everything once, you'll reach a point where you're now hunting for gear that suits your playstyle. That's where you'll discover how limited PvE feels. You'll understand someday.
-
1 ReplyYou're saying that theres no lack of content because theres a bunch of stuff you... haven't done yet? What about the people who've done all that stuff, dozens of times, by now? Those are the people saying there isn't much to do.
-
1 ReplyLots of Content, more than D1, no incentive, not like D1
-
2 RepliesIt seems that way, but in a month or 2, you will realize that most of that "Content" comes in the form of Bounty style quests that go on for far too long.
-
3 RepliesEdited by GHOST 9o5: 5/29/2020 12:37:32 PMWell, they've done everything. That is why there is no content. Much like when I reach 5500 in comp, there's nothing left for me to achieve or work towards in PvP. When they reach that max light, when they finish all the activities and get all the gear... it's empty. If you never played an my PvE before.. you have about 4 DLCs worth of content to go around. Consider that. PvE mains have already done all that years ago. I'd also hardly call quests content. Looting some caches for a quest step in lost sectors we've already visited through other quests is hardly content.

There’s that fundamental difference between “Quantity” and “Quality” though.....
-
1 ReplyTo anyone that hasn’t played the main content of the game, of course there’s tons to do. Come talk to use after you grind a few out, upgrade gear. Play the same strikes and crap just for upgrades. You’ll get the point one day.
-
1 ReplyEdited by Shadow: 5/30/2020 11:05:35 AMWait until AFTER you have completed the PvE content to provide an opinion. Even though it may look like there is a lot to do, there isn't, it's tedious and rewards (if there are some) are poor.
-
There is, but once you exhaust the actual first time story content, it’s literally just the same type of fetch/kill quests over and over again. There’s even some of that in the side/story missions. The first run through new story content had always been great in my opinion, but I think they REALLY need to do something about post story content. The open worlds never change and are beyond predictable and the only other real thing they do is just continually release increasingly difficult versions of things we’ve already done a million times. Which I think they severely overestimate hoe many players want something like that vs how many just want a fun open world to run around in. I really wish they would open the game up and infuse the open world with variance and rare instances that are actually rewarding that people would gravitate towards.

Cause most of the people that cry about lack of content rush through content as fast as they can for whatever reason and then cry when there isn’t anything else to do. 🤷🏻♂️
