It automatically makes all loot I get less special knowing it will soon become useless.

Since the last twab ive been having a lot of fun with Apex Legends

Been hoping for a decent Old Fashioned for months. Spend thousands of shards at the cryptarch. Haven’t bothered since the announcement to even log on 🤷♂️
-
Yeah I was doing iron banner and I wanted to try and get the shotgun at the altars of sorrow afterwards but then I thought why I am I doing this again? And just logged out and played another game with a friend.

Edited by thatdudeEd54: 5/17/2020 11:15:59 PMNot really. I look at some of my rarest weapons in my vault and take pride in what I own. Take the season 3 trials weapons for example. Im pretty sure less than 5% of the player base own the weapons. In a way they act as trophies to show your achievements, and remember the struggle you used to get them. Instead of feeling angry that they are going away from pinnacle activities, I feel pride that I get to own one. And pulling them out in the crucible feels so good because of it. In a way, thats how good memories were formed from Black Hammer, Fatebringer, Lord High Fixer, Efrideets Spear, Felwinters Lie, Hunger of Crota, and many other weapons from D1 have recieved such good reviews. They were taken from us at one point, and we remember the good times of when we had them

Nope, as long as I have something to chase I’ll grind even if it’s just an emblem.
-
Doesn't Affect me one bit, Why? I Sunset Every Season.

Felt this way about NF. I had luna's since the season when it was first introduced. adn the season before it and NF got the nerf for the perk. i was grinding comp like crazy trying to break through the glasss cieling of 4k glory. hearing about the Nerf made me give up on it when i was like 4300 in the last few weeks of the season. I have it now. but the og lunas howl perk is what made it seem so amazing to have

2 RepliesEdited by Argent_Xero: 5/17/2020 9:56:21 PMI just want some good looking, usable loot to go with my character designs. That is how I win the game I created for myself, and not the one Bungie lays out for me to do for them. This forces me to use stuff I don't want to use, with characters that shouldn't be using them.

Absolutely

If the WoW guy thinks after he messed up big time with the loot system for 4 years now, that giving ghost shells in strikes and one new set of gear knowing most don't like most of the gear in this game? He needs some serious help if he thinks that is going to "fix things". The next season should be free as many use on here. Even the April update in the first game offered a lot more then these seasons and it was free.

I said I lost my drive 3 days ago, logged in the day before yesterday to finish my unfinished bounties and found out I indeed lost my drive, didn’t log in yesterday. It was the first day I didn’t go online in a month. I don’t think I’ll play today, I made a list of movies to watch. Not threatening to leave or whatever, I still love the game but this is really killing my drive to play.
-
yea, cant believe i worked my b&^%s off playing comp to get recluse and mountain top and now this, not to mention all the other pinnacle ritual weapons i worked for.i wont be grinding for anything else that's for sure
-
here i feel like i'm back to year 1 again no loot to chase and just roam around the map doing stupid meaningless stuff that doesn't matter anymore, i will not buy next season or the so called ''big fall expation'' -blam!- no i will spend my money on other games maybe mobile ones.
-
1 ReplySince there's no need to chase weapon rolls and gear stats, you might as well just use whatever drops from this point on and just farm Nightfalls for Masterwork materials for a week or two and f*ck off till the Fall Expansion.
-
Yes. I haven't played since Tuesday when I picked up "The Lie" quest and looked to see 9 million completions and then said screw that. Zero incentive to play and definitely no incentive to give Bungle any more money.
-
U can tell by simply check the stat on steamchart.com, yeah, you're not alone, the game lost 10% players from last month and 80% from shadowkeep release
-
1 ReplyNo? Loot always has an expiration date in these games. Whether it is nerfed to the ground, a new game comes out, or they retire. You grind for it to play with it, you still can play with it, but don't expect anything great from the weapon in the raid. How much gear did you grind for that is now collecting dust in the vault?
-
2 RepliesSun setting means that you dont need to grind anymore. Just use whatever drops. Play the new activities, strike, raid and dungeon after that you just wait for next DLC next fall. So just play the new DLC on release. Play the new content; will take like 2 months than uninstall destiny; play 10 months something else; reinstall destiny next fall xD Its not worth to grind weapons or gear.

Edited by Calliibrations: 5/18/2020 12:43:56 AMI've not had much drive to play but i feel like it's just this crappy season in general. I'll get to rank 100 on the pass but don't really care about getting the seal, hopefully next sesson will bring something a little more engaging (and not a shitty public event) This weekend i've mainly been playing Fallout 76, it's been fun for the most part, although now i'm currently at the stage where i'm in desperate need of ammo for most of the guns i'm using, probably will need a visit to some low level areas to scavenge but i'll make do.
-
I lost the incentive to grind for new loot a long time ago.
-
I honestly don't know how I feel about sun-setting. The only thing I can say is that I had a list of tasks I wanted to complete (like do this raid, farm this weapon, etc) but after I read the TWAB I lost my motivation to farm or play. So based on that I'm gonna say I probably lost my incentive.
-
4 RepliesNot really, considering I lost the incentive to grind for loot when Bungie stopped adding loot that I actually wanted years ago. Even if there are some guns I want (like the GoS weapons), finding a raid team has become such a chore that I just gave up. The most compelling loot I’ve actually wanted in game recently has been straight out of Eververse.
-
Definitely killed my incentive to grind. I don’t want to grind for something that I know will be useless after a few seasons. Chances are the “new” stuff, will just be the same as what we currently have (or worse), just with a different look. The new weapons definitely aren’t gonna be better, if they were going to be, we wouldn’t have to sunset.
-
No incentive to play this game, period.
