Just looking at my collection of master worked weapons, thinking to my self alot of them if retired with more than likely be useless next season in high end activities.
Please think about a cost reduction for masterworking weapons, it not fair and a total waist of materials and time

Just MW work it until you get the stat counter. The orbs they create if fully MW’d has been Nerfed into the ground anyway. That will save you quite a few shards.
-
En agreed you need a small mortgage lol to fully master work a piece of exotic armour
-
People remember according to bungie exotics won't be nerfed, that why this rant was purely about weapons, infusion may not seem to cost that much for weapons. But the time and effort of building a collection of all my favourites weapons, getting the best possible roles. I'm just worried that all future weapons, will be rubbish as the seven seraph weapons
-
especially for Exotic armor, 3 Ascendant shards seriously bungie?🤦♂️

I could certainly agree with armor, but weapons don't take up that many cores overall. I think it takes 17 to masterwork one weapon compared to well over 100 cores for a single legendary armor piece, much less an exotic (someone on Reddit gives you a rough idea of the total masterworking cost for armor). That's something you can nail out in about 3 days or less just by using Banshee bounties and a core or two from Spider. With other sources it's even faster.

I agree, most of the weapons stats have been nerfed so much that masterworking creates almost no difference anymore.

5 RepliesIn the past I would agree with this complaint. But now I’m literally spammed cores. I do banshee dailies on 3 characters and then log off to main one. Last time I checked I think I have over 300 cores. I’m also constantly master working weapons.

Edited by Zelrons: 5/11/2020 8:24:24 PMEnchantment Core grow on trees. I have like three stacks worth of cores.

2 RepliesIt takes less than 10 minutes to do the gunsmith bounties. I have 400 sitting in my vault. And I have a ton of masterworked weapons. Of all the hard to get materials, this is the easiest giveaway. Previously I was farming them for shards. But now I just use them outright and get prisms from dungeon which takes a very short amount of time considering

Dude if you do banshee's daily bounties and spiders weekly bounties on top of his cheap daily core you should have more then enough to masterwork weapons. I have 160 shards and that's with me masterworking multiple weapons.

Glimmer, legendary shards and enhancement cores are extremely easy to come by.

Especially for weapons??? Exotic armor cost a lot more b
-
If you join a decently active clan, try to get the perk where you can get 7 cores from the weekly engram.
-
But masterworking weapons is already far easier/cheaper than armor. Any time I get a potentially good weapon I always masterwork it (assuming it has a good MW option) to try it out without even thinking about the cost.
-
Just get more cores lol
-
Yeah uhm... no. Masterworking weapons is laughably easy as it is.
-
5 RepliesBtw anyone know if you get some ascendant shards back if you dismantle a masterworked exotic armor?
