Blade barrage in Sudden death round of Gambit
This whole week I've been meeting hunters who get their Blade barrage super every 5 second or so in the sudden death round of Gambit.
I believe this leads to unbalance since no other class can get their super back that fast with similar chunk damage supers.
It's most noticable when they invade and can cast atleast two supers during the invasion.

While although I agree the returns in Gambit for the final round is a bit broken, the super itself does minimal damage in comparison to other ones because of the huge damage nerf and exotic nerf, I feel like they preserved some of its brokenness for Gambit and Mayhem because it's essentially useless and boring everywhere else. I've lost plenty of times even while abusing the blade barrage trick, it all comes down to how good your team actually is, chaos reach warlocks with geomags get there super back extremely fast for how powerful the super is for dps in Gambit final round, I've clutched wins that we're gonna be losses because I was able to get back to back supers with Reach for various reasons. Same can be said for thundercrash with ballistic slam... If you know the subclass you can get the super back very fast as well and dump dps.

1 ReplyEveryone hates the Shards BB Hunter when he's on the enemy team. Everyone loves the Shards BB Hunrter when he's on their team. PS: You can do the same thing with Nova Bomb or Nova Warp if you are a Warlock running Nezarec's Sin.

1 ReplyI usually run tether on my hunter in gambit. Unless it goes into sudden death. You are crazy not to switch to Blade barrage and shards of galanor. It’s as broken as in mayhem.

This occurs because of stacking buffs. Bungie could easily solve this problem by removing buff stacking like the did for damage abilities, or at least make them additive.

I usually play Arcstaff with Raiden Flux on my Hunter. If I’m playing Gambit and it goes to game 3 I switch to Blade barrage with Shards of Galanor. I’d be silly not to, it makes that much of a difference.

7 RepliesIve posted about this more than once before, its a glitch with the way shards regens energy, and people claim its not an exploit except by all definitions when you can get super back with one kill in mayhem where ive seen a hunter literally jump and before landing having casted two separate barrages and then jumps up to cast again, by all accounts it has been said very directly and quote "you should not be able to cast your super and gain your super" when they adjusted super regening exotics. Im a hunter main.... I want it nerfed so far into the ground it can never be exploited again. Personally when weapons become bugged and gain an advantage i avoid using them, queenbreakers broken aim assist? Didnt use it, wishenders broken dmg? Didnt use it, telestos infinite ammo/super glitches? Didnt use it. I dont need to ride off the cheese of exploits to compete.
